Addendum to the tumblr post for Explorers (JP pronouns): オイラ (hard[ish]-masculine) seems to correspond with "direct"; ぼく (soft-masculine) with "casual"; ワタシ (neutral) with "polite" (the "masculine" correspondence might be the other way around, I'm not entirely sure). Multiple dialogue sets
Something that may be worth investigating: in Rescue Team and Explorers, the Partner's dialogue throughout the game is slightly different based on their species. In Explorers, there seem to be 3 different sets of dialogue. In Rescue Team, the dialogue changes are supposedly much more elaborate.
Relevant links:
- Screenshots of dialogue samples in Explorers
- Mappings of Explorers species to the 3 dialogue sets
- Mention of more-elaborate differences in Rescue Team
- Suggestion that dialogue is based on IQ type

Should quotes for the Partner Pokémon be added?
--CuteShaymin (talk) 22:37, 19 April 2024 (UTC)
- In my opinion, adding the quotes sounds like a good idea. --Daniel Carrero (talk) 01:37, 21 April 2024 (UTC)
Split into multiple articles
This article is a bit longwinded and hard to swallow. I think it would be better if it was split into multiple articles by game. CuteShaymin (talk) 18:32, 25 July 2024 (UTC)
- It appears that this article is basically telling the plot of each MD game in detail, at least up to the epilogue where the hero and partner are required to appear. Based on this logic, the Hero Pokémon article would also eventually have mostly the same plot summaries, right? Other pages like player character, friend, and rival don't tell the story of each character in detail like that.
- I suggest simply removing those detailed plot summaries instead of creating separate articles for each game. Maybe we can at least have a short explanation like "The partner Pokémon is required to appear in the entire story prior to the epilogue. For more details, see Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team and Blue Rescue Team → Plot." --Daniel Carrero (talk) 02:35, 14 August 2024 (UTC)
- Might as well. Will save a headache and fell tring to go down so many notes just for a certain subject. The person who did the eidt while pretty cool and worth it, has its issues as poitned.--Jacob9594 (talk) 03:00, 14 August 2024 (UTC)
