When i used my action replay to catch cynthia's milotic, it got very glitchy and said "bad EGG has been sent to box 1 in bebe's PC". I looked in my box and it was a normal milotic. maybe it is worth mentioning?

Expansion

I would consider adding the following text to this article, but I do not know if it fits the style of Bulbapedia since I am a relatively inexperienced user.

"Another method of obtaining a bad egg involves using the gameshark code for walking through walls to enter the Colosseum without linking up. There, you will fight the last trainer you battled, and after the battle, the Pokémon you used will become a bad egg. However, this bad egg has been known to corrupt the game save file, forcing the player to start the game over again."

If this text does not work, please feel free to modify and add it. DarkMazer 07:23, 30 June 2007 (UTC)

Manual of style. Don't use "you", capitalize GameShark correctly, and it should be good. And by "don't use you", I mean instead find a way around doing so, such as substituting "the player" or using the passive tense. --TTEchidna 09:29, 30 June 2007 (UTC)

PBR Bad Egg

So, is it true that bad eggs are also in PBR?GreenAiden555 05:25, 19 July 2007 (UTC)

Ruby/Sapphire Bad Egg info

I can't remember how I got it, but a few years ago, I had a Pokémon in my party that had 0 hp, was labeled Bad EGG, and had a yellow bulbasaur as its im-party sprite. I believe I was trying to catch a Jirachi or something, I can't remember. Crüsäder 19:00, 13 June 2008 (UTC)

Deleting Bad Eggs

I don't know if it's possible in other versions, but the Emerald cloning trick can be used to delete Bad Eggs.

1. Go to the PC in the Battle Tower. 2. Withdraw Bad Egg(s) into your party. 3. Save the game. 4. Deposit the Bad Eggs, and ONLY the Bad Eggs, into an empty PC box. 5. Go to the receptionist closest to the PC. Start signing up until she asks you if you want to save. Say yes and wait until after the pause, when the 'real' save confirmation screen appears. Don't save---instead reset and reload the game. You will end up standing in front of the receptionist, with the Bad Eggs (and any other Pokemon) deposited into the PC after the initial save deleted.
