Farfetch'd (Japanese: カモネギ Kamonegi, German: Porenta, French: Canarticho) is a Normal/Flying-type Pokémon.

Pokédex entries

Pokémon Emerald
It is always seen with a stick from a plant. Apparently, there are good sticks and bad sticks. This Pokémon occasionally fights with others over choice sticks.
Pokémon FireRed
It always walks about with a plant stalk clamped in its beak. The stalk is used for building its nest.

Name origin

Farfetch'd's name comes from the word farfetched, which means unbelievable. It could also refer to the game of fetch, which animals play using sticks. Its Japanese name is a combination of 鴨 kamo, wild duck, and 葱 negi, spring onion. Additionally, 鴨葱 kamonegi is an abbreviation of 鴨が葱をしょって来る, a duck comes bearing spring onions.

Obviously, Farfetch'd is a duck that carries a spring onion.
