In the anime
(Japanese: グラシデア Glacidea) is a place presumably in Sinnoh. It is near the top of a mountain. Shaymin, along with others of its species, lives here. Pollen from Glacidea Flowers cause Shaymin to transform into their Sky Formes.
In the anime
Glacidea was a place featured in the movie, Giratina and the Sky's Bouquet: Shaymin, which Shaymin had longed for and kept referring to as "that place".
In the games
Glacidea did not appear in Pokémon Diamond and Pearl, but its equivalent is the Flower Paradise, as Shaymin is there in the games and there are plenty of flowers, just like Glacidea. In Pokémon Platinum Glacidea does not appear; however, the Glacidea Flower is found in the game at Floaroma Town, if the player has a Shaymin with a "fateful encounter" with it.
Trivia
- Glacidea's name comes from the fact that it is next to a very large glacier.
