I thought that is goes by the same trend as its evolutions - boo, not bu.  But it looks like Bulbapedia has used Buby since the beginning.  Is it just because people are afraid of using a term, with a completely proper and correct meaning, simply because of slang?

Buby or Booby?

Isn't the Japanese name Booby, like the bird? I thought that is goes by the same trend as its evolutions - boo, not bu. But it looks like Bulbapedia has used Buby since the beginning. Is it just because people are afraid of using a term, with a completely proper and correct meaning, simply because of slang?
