Template:Infobox town Oreburgh City (Japanese: クロガネシティ Kurogane City) is a city in the region of Sinnoh. It is the location of one of Sinnoh's Gyms, led by Roark. It is here where trainers receive the Coalbadge, the first badge one can earn in the conquest of the Sinnoh region's Pokémon League. Oreburgh is a mining town blessed with significant natural resources.

Oreburgh is accessible via the Oreburgh Gate. Prominent vents throughout the city exchange the stale air from the mines below with the fresh, above-ground air. There is a girl in the city who will trade the elusive Abra for a Machop. Oreburgh is home to the Oreburgh Mining Museum, as well as the Oreburgh Mine. The miners often take breaks in the Gym between the work shifts.

Demographics

The population of Oreburgh is 42.

Trivia

  • Oreburgh's Japanese town motto is エネルギー みなぎるばしょ.
  • There is a guy at the entrance that encourages the player to advance in the game to avoid being like a "total noob".

Name origin

Oreburgh comes from ore, raw material mined from the ground, and burgh, a suffix referring to a city. The Japanese name Kurogane City may refer to a Japanese word for iron (黒鉄 kurogane)
