I'm bringing this discussion back. Yes the special may have taken place in Johto, but we don't know if Mew actually appeared or if it was a vision by Mewtwo. It seems more likely a vision, but that doesn't count it as being in Johto. --[[User:HoennMaster|Hoenn]][] 04:47, 16 December 2008 (UTC) | I'm bringing this discussion back. What idiot moved this page?! --File:Spr 3e 115.gifTheryguy512File:Spr 3e 202.gifFile:Spr 3e 327.gif 19:57, 23 September 2007 (UTC)
- They weren't an idiot. I can see why they merged the two movie Mews. (Do we really need a bunch articles on Mew?) TinaTheKirlia File:281MS.gif 19:59, 23 September 2007 (UTC)
- I think that we should undo the move. --File:Spr 3e 115.gifTheryguy512File:Spr 3e 202.gifFile:Spr 3e 327.gif 00:36, 24 September 2007 (UTC)
Gender
I don't think Mew's gender should be "none" since it's unknown if genderless Pokemon apply in the anime, and therefore, not 100% confirmed. In fact i think it's very unlikely that it's genderless since there was a female (mother) Lugia in the series, so it should be "Unknown" (GT4GTR 11:17, 16 June 2008 (UTC))
Aura Sphere
How did Mew used Aura Sphere here but it's introduced in Generation IV? Palkia38 10:23, 28 July 2008 (UTC)
It didn't necessarily; just that the blue orb it shot out against the black orb Mewtwo uses looks like Aura Sphere. Remember that that black orb of darkness Mewtwo uses is Shadow Ball, which wasn't introduced until Generation II. However, the distance between this movie and DPPt is so far that it's likely just speculation. It is a move of Mew's in GenIV, but this doesn't necessitate that it was used in Mv1. Who's to say it wasn't a variant on Psychic used in the movie? I like the idea, but in the spirit of Bulbapedia, this doesn't deserve a place on the page. Satosuke 15:20, 21 September 2008 (UTC)
Johto Region
Why is Mew's current location the Johto Region, it didn't appear in Mewtwo Returns as anything more than a brief vision Mewtwo had in the lake, I'd say it's current location should be unknown since it was never stated where the fossil used to clone Mewtwo came from (assuming it's the same Mew)
- Mewtwo returns was the last time we saw this Mew.It was in JohtoYour Friendly Neighborhood Cookie Monster
- This is true. Mew was in the special. Where it is now, who knows? But it was in Johto, so that's how it is. Satosuke 15:22, 21 September 2008 (UTC)
