A Poké Mart (Japanese: フレンドリィショップ Friendly Shop) is a convenience store that sells supplies necessary for Pokémon training. It sells various items such as Poké Balls, status ailment healing items, mail, Escape Ropes, etc. A Poké Mart's stock varies with its location. Some sell more items than others. Pokémarts also buy many different items in exchange for money.
Almost all cities, both major and minor, have Poké Marts, the exception being some which have local medicine shops or large department stores. Notably, the town players start at in each main game does not have a Pokémart. An interesting thing to note is that in the anime, Pokémarts do not seem to be as ubiquitous as in the games.
