I made those protections because of those damn blog leaks. Anything between the most recent official episode announcement (i.e. published in a magazine and relayed through Pokéani) and anything affected by one of those blog leaks was deemed too high risk to leave open for anyone to create due to the possibility that other unreliable-source leaks could happen for the episodes in between. After all, those blog leaks are gun-jumping, and the Bulbapedia sysops detest gun-jumps that happen prior to when it's supposed to be put down (in the case of episode details, it's when the magazines publish it).
