Continuing to the next town, Dawn is seperated from Ash and Brock by an attack from a wild {{p|Aggron}}. Following a battle with the Aggron, [[Dawn's Mamoswine]] is badly injured, and Dawn is determined to help it. Will Mamoswine finally start to listen to Dawn?
Continuing to the next town, Ash and friends travel down a road, when Dawm goes to drink out of her water container, she realises that it is empty, and she says to Ash and Brock, that she noticed a spring further back, and that she would be back in a second, when there she fills her container up, whilst standing on some rocks, suddenly, and Aggron emerges from the top of a ledge, and fire a Hyper Beam, which results in Dawn and Piplup falling into a river, then getting swept away.
When she gets out of the water, she and Piplup look up Aggron in her PokéDex. Meanwhile Brock and Ash decide to go look for Dawn, as she has been a while, when they arrive at the spring, the notice Dawn's water container on the floor, and the two start to worry for her safety, but suddenly Aggron strikes yet again, Ash and Brock make a hasty retreat, Ash then asks Brock why Aggron attacked, Brock walks up to a rock and examines it, a he says that the rocks around here must have a high iron content. Ash suggests that maybe this could be Aggron's territory.
Ash then sends his Gliscor and Staraptor to look for Dawn, elsewhere, Dawn is running, and further in the distance Team Rocket are in a bush, they suggest attacking Dawn, as she is alone, then they release a device which emits smoke, which makes it hard to see, Team Rocket then attempt to capture Piplup, Jessie sends out Yanmega, and Piplup uses Bubblebeam, which Yanmega avoids, it then uses Ancient Power, then Piplup uses Whirlpool.
Suddenly Dawn runs away with Piplup, Team Rocket are shocked, as James says, "Retreating's not the twerpette norm'!", however as far as they known Aggron is behind them, it uses Hyper Beam, and all of Team Rocket run, whilst Aggron is firing. They then seek refuge in a bush, Jessie doesn't know what an Aggron is, so James uses one of his cards, and reads about Aggron.
Then a scene is shown where Staraptor and Gliscor are flying over various areas in the forest. Then it goes to Ash and Brock, who are calling for Dawn and her Piplup. Somewhere else, Dawn runs into a clearing, and sends out her Pachirisu and her Buneary, hoping for Ash and Brock to find her, she orders them to use Ice Beam and Discharge respectively in hopes of them noticing, but Aggron notices and they all run away. Whilst on a ledge, Team Rocket are laughing at Dawn and her Pokémon running away from Aggron.
Dawn's Pokémon stop, then Dawn realises that, she is at the side of a steep cliff, and Aggron is closing in, so she sends out her Mamoswine, which when released immediatly falls asleep, so she feeds it a Poffin, Mamoswine is hit with a Hyper Beam, which enrages it, and it retalliates by using trying to run at Aggron, but Aggron hits Mamoswine with a power Double-Edge. Mamoswine then uses Ice Shard, and Aggron uses Ice Beam, but Ice Shard is the more powerful move, and it travels straight through Ice Beam with ease. Aggron then uses Double-Edge again, but Mamoswine falls to the floor, making the ledge collapse, sending Dawn and her Pokémon falling. Team Rocket then get chased by Aggron. When at the bottom, Dawn brushes her self down and makes sure her team is okay, however Mamoswines leg is badly hurt, she tries to return it, however she lost Mamoswine's Pokéball when she fell.
She realises Aggron could return at any minute, and she decides to hide Mamoswine, she sends Ampibom out, so her team can make a bed for Mamoswine, Ambipom uses Focus Punch on some branches, whilst Buneary and Pachirisu collect the fallen materials. She makes Mamoswine a bed, then helps Mamoswine to move.
