Say a Scizor is in a battle between a Blissey and the Scizor uses Iron Defense one turn and on the next turn, the Blissey switches out and in come in a Bibarel. Would Scizor's stat stay at +2 or would ir revert back to neutral?

What if there's was already a stat change before the "Simple" pokemon enters the battle

Say a Scizor is in a battle between a Blissey and the Scizor uses Iron Defense one turn and on the next turn, the Blissey switches out and in come in a Bibarel. Would Scizor's stat stay at +2 or would ir revert back to neutral?
