Pokémon counterparts, ocassionally called Pokémon duos, is a term used to relate two certain Pokémon that are either near each other in the Pokédex, are closely related, share qualities such as stats, EV yields, and moves while leveling up, are rivals, etc. A common example is the pairing of Zangoose and Seviper, two life-long enemies. They often times are version exclusives.
