Saffron City
Saffron City (Japanese: ヤマブキシティ Yamabuki City) lies between Celadon City, Vermillion City, Lavender Town, and Cerulean City. The Gym Leader, Sabrina, uses Psychic-type Pokémon, and awards the Marsh Badge. There is also a secondary gym, the Fighting Dojo, which has Fighting-types, and where, if the Dojo Master is defeated, you can obtain either Hitmonchan or Hitmonlee in Generation I.
Saffron's motto is "Shining, Golden Land of Commerce".
There's also a Pokémon Trainer Fan Club, there. People gather to discuss their favorite celebrity trainers.
Saffron City is the headquarters of Silph Co. It is also the hometown of the Copycat.
In Generation II, there's a train that runs from Saffron City to Goldenrod City in Johto.
Aside from the train, there are four main roads leading to Saffron. Route 6 to the south, Route 8 to the east, Route 5 is north, and west is Route 7.
