RE: Signature

I will take it off, but may I know why they're not allowed? ~ Master of Illusion: Z User page 13:39, 10 August 2010 (UTC)

I think it has something to do with server problems, but I'm not sure. They were banned before I made my account. I just know by reading the policy. Turtwig's A-B-Cs (talk | contribs) 13:41, 10 August 2010 (UTC)

Turtwig how do you put templates on pages then? rayquaza king 3000

You put {{ at the beginning, then put the parameters, with a | between each one. If they are numbered parameters, keep the parameters in the order of the numbers, with the | to separate them. If not, then put <PARAMETERNAME>=<WHATYOUPUTINTHEPARAMETER> and keep the | to separate them. After putting all of the parameter names, you put a }} at the end. If you don't get this, ask a more experienced user, such as one of the Administrators. Turtwig's A-B-Cs (talk | contribs) 15:16, 15 August 2010 (UTC)

How To Add

How do you add a picture/image on a section?Thanks.--Dbeckelheimer6 15:03, 10 August 2010 (UTC)Dillan Beckelheimer

You simply put [[File:<imagename>.<imageextension>]], with imagename being the name of the image and imageextension being the image's extension, that being png, jpg, gif, svg, etc. However, the image will only be displayed if it is uploaded onto the archives, where the wikis pictures are. If it is an external image, simply put the URL, and it'll be displayed. Hope this helps. If not, you might want to contact one of one of the archives' administrators. Deletion of the "Pokémon that run from battle" articles

I noticed the deletion notices said "Safari Zone only". Phanpy is found on Route 46 in GSC and can run from battle; Growlithe is on Route 37 and can run in addition to its Roar; Snubbull is on Route 38 and is KNOWN for running away. Just so you know. TailsDM 22:24, 29 August 2010 (UTC)

Really? I didn't know that. I can't check either though. Turtwig's A-B-Cs (talk | contribs) 22:25, 29 August 2010 (UTC)
Yep. Check around time 9:30. Sorry for the link, but it was convenient. TailsDM 22:29, 29 August 2010 (UTC)
Okay then. Thanks for telling me. Turtwig's A-B-Cs (talk | contribs) 22:43, 29 August 2010 (UTC)

Hello Turtwig!

Hey Turtwig, how's it going? Just thought I would say hi and introduce myself. I am a (sorta) new user here on Bulbapedia, and I was wondering if I could ask a small favor. Can I borrow your little navigation menu, I don't know what to call it, so I am going to go with "thingie". Obviously I would change it in order to make it "my" nav menu, and customize it to suit me, I just wanted to ask you, instead of just stealing it. Your nav menu is one of the simplest that I have seen, I just need one in order to link all of my pages, and I thought maybe if I asked nicely, you would let me borrow it. Thank you so much in advance. --JediKnightDTV 16:21, 9 September 2010 (UTC)

I'm okay with that. If you want the coding, it can be found here. Also, I believe the term is a navigator or navigation template. Turtwig's A-B-Cs (talk | contribs) 19:57, 9 September 2010 (UTC)
Thanks you very much Turtwig. I appreciate it. I will credit you when I put it up on my userpage, which hopefully will be soon, when I get done messing with it. --JediKnightDTV 00:20, 10 September 2010 (UTC)
There's really no need to credit me. Turtwig's A-B-Cs (talk | contribs) 00:34, 10 September 2010 (UTC)
Well, I did it anyway. It is up now on my Userpage. You can check it out by clicking on the "Jediknight" part of my signature, in blue. For now, it is just on my mainpage. I am planning on putting it on my talkpage and my sandbox as well, but I ran out of edits, so I will do that tomorrow. Thanks again, Turtwig. --JediKnightDTV 05:42, 11 September 2010 (UTC)
It's on my talkpage and sandbox as well, now. Thanks again, Turtwig. --JediKnightDTV 14:22, 11 September 2010 (UTC)
You're welcome. You can also put a note of anyone being able to take the template if they wish if you want to. Turtwig's A-B-Cs (talk | contribs) 14:52, 11 September 2010 (UTC)

Doryuuzu

Yeah, but Surskit and Masquerain are both bug types, then Onix and Steelix are both Ground types. So no matter what the evolution, I don't think there's any Pokemon that completely changes type. So with that, I still think it's safe to say Doryuuzu is a(t least partially) ground type. Jo The Marten 21:33, 10 September 2010 (UTC)

Azurill and Marill. I could list other examples, but you could the point. Speculation is speculation no matter how obvious it may be. It could turn out to have a second-type as well. The game is only a week away from being released, I think we can wait. Jellotalk 21:36, 10 September 2010 (UTC)
Alright. I was under the false impression that all that legendary speculation from Serebii was accepted so putting up Doryuuzu's type would be alright too. But seeing how all that info was just removed, I see where I was wrong. :P Jo The Marten 21:38, 10 September 2010 (UTC)
Funny thing that even Serebii himself tells readers not to 100% put their trust on it. Better to be safe than sorry. Things like the dex order though, like evolutions after same region pre-evolutions, though is more pattern than speculation. Turtwig's A-B-Cs (talk | contribs) 21:46, 10 September 2010 (UTC)
Yeah, I don't trust Serebii. Reading all the stuff he said back when Ruby and Sapphire was being leaked..you can't trust anything he says. I only listen to official sources like Pokémon Sunday, Coro Coro, and of course Pokémon Company themselves. Jo The Marten 21:58, 10 September 2010 (UTC)

Not sure if this is the right place to go...

Would you be able to fix all the spelling errers on the List of Pokémon by National Pokédex number page. There are a lot of them like "Yoterii" and "Muuna". If you're not up for it, could you tell me who I should talk to? --EpicShadow 21:35, 16 September 2010 (UTC)

I can't, but I know who can. One of the Staff members. Go to one marked as "Active". Turtwig's A-B-Cs (talk | contribs) 21:36, 16 September 2010 (UTC)
Thanks! --EpicShadow 21:43, 16 September 2010 (UTC)

Move Variants

Hey Turtwig A, I saw you removed moves from the Bulk Up variants template for having different PP amounts. Isn't a move a variant if it raises the same number of stats by the same number of levels? For example the Acid Armor variants template contains: Acid Armor with 40 PP, Agility with 30, Amnesia with 20 and Body Purge with 15, but they all raise one stat by two levels, or is that wrong? Pikiwyn talk 12:24, 10 October 2010 (UTC)

Well I just removed them because the move variant page said they change PP as well. As I quote
Move variations are moves that are identical to each other in terms of damage, PP, and accuracy, but have different elemental types,
damage categories, or secondary effects. Below are the various move archetypes and the moves that fall into their categories.

It's Turtwig A! My talk or wiki edits 13:19, 10 October 2010 (UTC)

Okay, I was just wondering. The article kind of contridicts itself though, it says the PP needs to be the same but then for some moves it has something like this "Variations of Acid Armor:

20, 30 or 40 PP, raises one of the user's stats by two stages" Pikiwyn talk 14:06, 10 October 2010 (UTC)

Touché. I did put a note about deleting on the Acid Armor variation template's talk page too. I don't know what other ones have differing PPs, but this case should be brought to a staff member. It's Turtwig A! My talk or wiki edits 16:51, 10 October 2010 (UTC)
Yes, it should, I just looked at the Move variations page again, and there are a lot of other templates that have moves with differing PP's in them. Pikiwyn talk 17:35, 10 October 2010 (UTC)
Okay then. I'll ask a staff member about this then. It's Turtwig A! My talk or wiki edits 17:44, 10 October 2010 (UTC)
I'm going to bring it up on the move variations talk page too. Pikiwyn talk 17:44, 11 October 2010 (UTC)

Perhaps, I will be sleeping(lol. Sawamular101 12:37, 13 October 2010 (UTC)
You do not show up even if time comes.
The Pokemon is from Japan. A similar Pokemon to national bird of Japan appeared. The national bird is made to associate it with the name. As for the complete denial, I feel your malice.
If my word is aggressive, it is a misunderstanding. Because my English is immature, it is very strange(lol Sawamular101 01:39, 14 October 2010 (UTC)
Sorry, I couldn't come up with a reply. As I really can't come up with anything else in my defense, I guess I'd have to agree with you. I think my biggest basis was on the Isshu based on America thing. It's Turtwig A! My talk or wiki edits 02:29, 14 October 2010 (UTC)
The outlook on the world of isshu is strange.
1 The currency is Japanese yen.
2 The majority to live there is a Japanese name.
3 The provinces and the name of a town are Japanese names.
4 There are a lot of monsters of the Japan origin.
5 There is a similar hut to Shintoism, too.
The influence of Japan is very thick. Feelings of the person who insists that the element of Japan is obstructive can be understood. However, it is likely to change in the translation version. Sawamular101 02:48, 14 October 2010 (UTC)
Those are interesting points. Though I think they are only doing that because its the Japanese version. America did have mini countries like China Town and Little Italy, maybe this could be a Japanese spin? There are some points on the other side of the fence too, such as:
1. American media seems to have been putting more focus on mythology later.
2. Shintoism could easily be practiced here in America

But still, your argument would win out in the end I guess, as I'm only putting weak points. All in all, though, I don't think the Green Pheasant is the entire basis of Kenhorou. It's Turtwig A! My talk or wiki edits 03:02, 14 October 2010 (UTC)

The influence of Japan was thick, and I wanted to say that it was possible that national bird of Japan existed in isshu.
Do you understand the original edition? A Japanese version is the only original edition. A Japanese version is not a translation version. Sawamular101 03:12, 14 October 2010 (UTC)
Yes I do understand that it is the original, and actually have been agreeing with you. It's Turtwig A! My talk or wiki edits 11:15, 14 October 2010 (UTC)
