The warden's name is Slowpoke? I'd like to know where that came from. - MTC

>Pokemon Red and Pokemon Blue. Check the Safari Zone. "Warden Slowpoke is runing a promotion campaign right now." "We nicknamed the Warden Slowpoke. You know, he has that vacant look like a Slowpoke." "Warden Slowpoke is very knowledgable about Pokemon" etc.

Other Pokemon

Wobbuffet is available in the Hoenn Safari Zone too, in Emerald at least. Can anyone confirm/deny whether or not it's in Ruby/Sapphire? Same for Girafarig.

Both are there and only there in R/S. It's just those in the National Dex that were added for Emerald. --FabuVinny 21:56, 3 July 2006 (UTC)

Marill?

Since marill is available from as early as route 104 in Emerald, is it really worth putting it in the list of pokemon available in the extra areas of the Hoenn safari zone? -- Wiseblade 16:57, 15 August 2006

Disambiguation

Shouldn't we disambiguate between the two Safari Zones using parentheses? As far as I'm aware, neither the Kanto nor the Hoenn Safari Zones are called the "Kanto Safari Zone" or the "Hoenn Safari Zone" in-game, which would make the use of "Safari Zone (Kanto)" and "Safari Zone (Hoenn)" more accurate. --TMF T - C 05:04, 29 August 2006 (UTC)

It looks better in inline linking, among other things. - 振霖T 05:59, 29 August 2006 (UTC)

Unused Safari Zone data in G/S

The Safari Zone was actually once planned to be used in G/S/C, however, Nintendo scrapped the idea. The maps still remain in the game, however, you won't be able to view them unless you own the ROM. (Which, for legal reasons, I will not provide.) -- Bloodstar

I think it deserves a mention. Don't know how much you could say about a beta area, though... --TTEchidna 22:05, 29 April 2007 (UTC)
