Userspace limits

Hi. I noticed you have been editing the User: namespace a lot recently. Please don't do it any more, though. Bulbapedia's Userspace policy restricts the amount you can edit your userpage: no more than three edits per day. This policy was instated to prevent strain on our server, and also to promote people helping out in the mainspace. Bulbapedia is an encyclopedia, after all, so help us out by contributing to some articles before coming back to your personal userpage. The more often you edit in the mainspace, the more you will be allowed to edit your userpage. Thanks! ---- MAGNEDETH 04:45, 17 November 2010 (UTC)

Hello. I apologize for the number of edits; I've been having a lot of trouble with the site giving me errors whenever I try to submit a change, which has led to multiple edits that would have been one under normal circumstances. As for editing the mainspace, I have been working on adding information about recent TCG releases, and I made a major start on that today. Rest assured that these contributions will continue. Thanks! -Unknownwarrior33 04:52, 17 November 2010 (UTC)
i am aware of the errors. they can indeed be very annoying, but next time just use the preview button and dont save page until you are done. this way if you get errors, its only on one edit. also, you dont have to respond on my page, it makes it easier to keep the conversation in its place of origin. -- MAGNEDETH 06:06, 17 November 2010 (UTC)

THE BEACH

I noticed your recent images, which we already have images of, by the way, were stolen from the 'Beach. Long story shirt, WPM gets mad at us, and I usually get the blunt of the attack for being TCG leader. I love that you are adding information, just make sure you aren't stealing anything. Thanks. MaverickNate 04:53, 17 November 2010 (UTC)

Yes, yes. I know we shouldn't ignore other information. However, it just isn't something that I get around to doing. I will ask someone I know who gets some images for us to see if they have a high quality image of just the tins. They'll be able to find one, don't worry. The reason why those haven't been updated in a while is that I've been having different plans for the merchandise articles, and really didn't see a point in updating something that will be completely overhauled relatively soon. It's bad, I know, but I am not the only editor on the wiki and it all shouldn't fall onto the TCG leader to add EVERYTHING. I'm happy that someone finally took the initiative to add information. I'm not trying to accuse you of stealing. I understand now, I just want you to be aware of our policy on just taking images from online. We typically want to give credit to the sites we get images from, and make sure that we are allowed to. I hope you understand. Thanks again for helping out, and keep it up. There are quite a few TCG lists that tend to get outdated while I'm off editing other parts of the wiki, and I could really use your help. MaverickNate 06:22, 17 November 2010 (UTC)
Thanks for your reply. I'm sorry, I tend to get antsy when I'm online at odd hours. I didn't mean any offense; it occurs to me that in my haste, I was the one being rude, so I apologize. -Unknownwarrior33 06:39, 17 November 2010 (UTC)
LOL, I tend to make typing mistakes when I'm online late "Long story shirt". It's fine. It taught me some things that I should be aware of that I do, like giving no benefit of the doubt. I'm sorry. If you can't find anything to do to help the wiki, once you finish your current projects, feel free to come ask me. I have tons of things that need completed. MaverickNate 06:59, 17 November 2010 (UTC)
Thanks, I'll do that. -Unknownwarrior33 07:09, 17 November 2010 (UTC)

Two pack blisters

We have not been able to find any images of them, so if you want, feel free to find something. MaverickNate 21:11, 20 November 2010 (UTC)

Something to do

TTE recently updated the attack and Power templates to add color and to incorporate the new TCG Ability thing. I'm sorry that everything TCG I'm doing currently is mostly busy work, but, would you be interested in fixing the old templates? MaverickNate 18:56, 7 December 2010 (UTC)

Hey, busywork is what keeps things running. But I'm confused; what needs to be done with the templates, and which ones need fixing? --Unknownwarrior33 19:07, 7 December 2010 (UTC)
If you want something else to do, you could find an incomplete, non existent, or poorly written TCG page in order to enter into the contest, such as Half deck, Side deck, or one of the other TCG stubs. I think it would be a lot more worth your time to improve one of the pages and possibly win yourself a new game or booster packs.
As for the template change, if you're still considering this, it's the difference between this page and This page. All the attack power templates on every page need updated. And the notes ("This Pokémon is both Darkness and Metal type) all now have a template. If you avoid the note ones for now, all you would need to do is remove all the headers under "card text" but before "Pokédex info," change {{Cardattack to {{TCGAttack (or I think the instructions for cardpower are on a talk page somewhere)and add in a position and type. I'll do one and you can see if you are more interested in this than the page improvement. Here is one example, and here is another. It's pretty simple, and was made to be done at any time, so I think it would be more worth your time right now to enter the contest. MaverickNate 19:28, 7 December 2010 (UTC)
Sounds good. It looks like you were planning to merge the Stadium page with the list of stadium cards; I can do that, if you want. I'll look into others as well, of course, but that one stood out to me. --Unknownwarrior33 19:52, 7 December 2010 (UTC)
I had plans to use my template that I used on the Goods cards page. I actually started finishing most of it. The problem was, I just sort of got distracted for a while. My biggest concern is having a complete list of ALL stadium cards, and having them in chronological order. If you can succeed in that, you would be one of the greatest users in my mind. I stopped the stadium card at the DP era. Keep in mind, World Champions Pack in japan came after the Japanese release of Mysterious Treasures. Good Luck! If you find any issues, feel free to come ask me. MaverickNate 19:57, 7 December 2010 (UTC)
Alright, I'll make a list. Should I add them to the current list, or something else? --Unknownwarrior33 20:01, 7 December 2010 (UTC)
Add them to the list I have. No need to do extra work if you don't need to. MaverickNate 20:03, 7 December 2010 (UTC)
Sorry for all the questions, just want to make sure: do you mean the existing page in the mainspace (without a template) or the one in your userspace (with the template)? --Unknownwarrior33 20:05, 7 December 2010 (UTC)
Your questions are fine. I'd prefer if the list was made to be like my userspace page. Feel free to add them there and then transfer the list over when you are finished. The whole purpose of cleaning up those pages was to write a more complete, less biased intro/explanation of what the cards did, and have a sortable list of all trading cards of that type. because a chronological sortable option would be impossible to create, they need to be in order of release on the page to begin with, with the name, set, and number sortables in the table. That was my intent, I just never got round to finishing it. And, ugly lists are ugly. I like my colorful table better. MaverickNate 20:13, 7 December 2010 (UTC)
Sounds awesome, I'll start when I get home later today! --Unknownwarrior33 20:15, 7 December 2010 (UTC)
Wonderful. And if you encounter any problems, don't hesitate to come to me. MaverickNate 20:18, 7 December 2010 (UTC)

An update for you: the English side is finished, as far as I can tell. The Japanese side will take longer, due to extra promos and expansion re-arrangement, but I should be able to get it done by tomorrow. --Unknownwarrior33 03:57, 8 December 2010 (UTC)

I think it's all done! You should probably check it before I put it on the mainspace, but I'm pretty sure everything is accounted for! One question, though: Miasma Valley and Conductive Quarry are in opposite half decks of one deck kit; right now they're listed by their number in each half deck without the half deck name; I tried putting the half deck name with the number, but it made the column a lot bigger. What do you think? --Unknownwarrior33 22:05, 8 December 2010 (UTC)

Supporters

You are fine. Don't worry about it. However, I ask that you direct any more TCG matters to nuva-kal. He's now in charge MaverickNate 06:04, 1 January 2011 (UTC)

Sounds good, thanks! —Unknownwarrior33 06:49, 1 January 2011 (UTC)
By the way, any thoughts on getting rid of that big white space on the Stadium page now that the table is there? There's a lot of space to make room for the picture. The only thing I can think of would be to decrease the space between the columns; what do you think? —Unknownwarrior33 00:16, 6 January 2011 (UTC)
