C is a dual-type glitch Pokémon that appears in Pokémon Red & Blue that occupies slot E5. If encountered in the wild, the player encounters a glitch trainer who sends out a C. There is no way to capture or fight the Pokémon, because the game freezes after it is sent out. Through the usage of cheats, however, one can obtain C and even use it in battle without the game freezing.

C causes some interesting in-game glitches to occur. For example, the items the Mart are called "TM29" after aquiring C, and some number values appear to be frozen at one specific value. Despite this, they work as intended, but it can be frustrating to tell items apart. If you look at the Pokédex, you will see 229 copies of C in every slot, and the game will say that the player has seen and owns 229 Pokémon.
