Release information
This card was released as a promotional card. In Japan, it came with Understand How to Play Pokémon Cards Now: Newest Edition (Asobikata Volume 2), released in November 1998. The early print of the card termed Asobikata Dugtrio was printed on regular card stock. The artwork was later reprinted in Pokémon Web; however, this version was printed in the e-Reader format. The original version of the card is therefore much rarer than its Web reprint counterpart. A sealed copy of the Asobikata Magazine which contained this card along with its counterpart Diglett was included in the Quick Starter Gift Set.
