Attach Balloon Berry to 1 of your Pokémon that doesn't have a Pokémon Tool attached to it.
| When the Pokémon Balloon Berry is attached to retreats, discard Balloon Berry instead of discarding Energy cards. |
Release information
This card was reprinted in the EX Dragon and EX Deoxys sets. The EX Dragon print added a second sentence to the Pokémon Tool text prior to the effect that reads, "If that Pokémon is Knocked Out, discard this card." The EX Deoxys print tweaked the actual effect text to read as such:
| As long as Balloon Berry is attached to a Pokémon, that Pokémon's Retreat Cost is 0. When this Pokémon retreats, discard Balloon Berry. |
