Latin American dub

Just if you deem it necessary, here you have some of the translations:

  • Twerp (Ash): Bobo
  • Twerps: Bobos
  • Twerpette: Boba
  • (Ash & Ritchie): Bobos gemelos (twin twerps)

--Johans 05:55, 27 June 2007 (UTC)

Also Bobete(s) (a instead of e) (es) (as) are used sometimes :P YukitoOoO 02:19, 10 June 2009 (UTC)

Literal Translation of Jari-boy?

I know Dogasu has one kicking around. It could be added, but I don't know where it is, or what the literal trans was...

Anyway, the pronunciation is similar to Charlie boy, which means stupid also.-Billy4b2004 11:37, 23 January 2008 (UTC)

Italian dub

Twerp in Italian:

  • Twerp (Ash): Moccioso
  • Twerps: Mocciosi
  • Twerpette: Mocciosa, and sometimes Mocciosetta

Lemme guess Shaytaan is a pun on Satan? it just sound alike... if you read it to yourself.--FF(editstalk) 04:20, 19 April 2009 (UTC)

I don't think so. It's in hindi.

In hindi, satan is called as shaytaan (similar pronounciation ). --♫♪Adyniz♪♫ 06:09, 21 August 2009 (UTC)

In other languages

As we have its translation available in 4 different languages, shouldn't there be a In other languages section in the article? ♫♪AdyNiz♪♫ 07:30, 2 May 2010 (UTC)

Anyway, I am adding it. If you feel something fishy in it then feel free to edit it. Thank you. ♫♪AdyNiz♪♫ 13:55, 7 May 2010 (UTC)

Contradiction no?

"Fans sometimes use the term as "anyone who isn't a member of Team Rocket". But in the anime, Ash is the one true twerp, and all other twerps exist in relation to him. Attila and Hun refer to Jimmy and Marina as twerps (Japanese: hero-boy). Apparently, it seems that any and all young enemies of Team Rocket are referred to as twerps."

Uhh saying that twerps are in relation to Ash and then calling Marina and Jimmy twerps contradict each other right? --+ Joeshie + (is Mæ!) 00:44, 18 October 2010 (UTC)

Prof. Oak?

In AG071 (A Six Pack Attack!) one of them (I think it was Jessie) referred to Prof. Oak as "Professor Twerpy". Should this be mentioned? Nikki 12:41, 28 July 2011 (UTC)

Trivia

Should it be mentioned that the term twerp is also used in The Fairly Oddparents? Wildgoose-The friendly goose in town! 23:32, 28 January 2012 (UTC)

Filipino dub

Not sure if needed, but anyway:

twerp: bubwit

twerps: mga bubwit

I am sure of the first but the latter is some educated guess. I never heard of the Filipino dub for twerpette, so it means its a blank for now. Harv13 (talk page) 07:48, 28 May 2012 (UTC)

XY series

I heard that Team Rocket calls Serena and Bonnie "twerp thieves" in Mega-Mega Meowth Madness!, can someone add this or not? --Cinday123 (Talk) 04:46, 27 March 2014 (UTC)

The Pokémon

I hear that Team Rocket call Pikachu and the heroes' Pokémon twerps as well. Or referring them as "Twerp Pokémon". Doesn't this have to be added?--Jay 21 (Talk) 13:45, 1 August 2015 (UTC)

Deletion/Notability?

Is this really notable? I just don't think the concept of a "twerp" is special enough in the Pokemon world/anime to deserve a whole page here.

"Twerp" really doesn't need any sort of explaining to be understood. This whole page is really just a very basic concept that can easily be conveyed on the Team Rocket trio page if it needs saying anywhere. And the painstaking detailing of everyone who's been called a "twerp" seems much more like trivia than really worthwhile material to me, but if need be, it could probably also be squeezed onto the Team Rocket trio page or else added as trivia to character pages (such as, "Meowth referred to Zoey as the red-haired twerp").

This just isn't a thing that deserves its own page IMO. Tiddlywinks (talk) 16:03, 1 August 2015 (UTC)

I agree with deleting this page. A quarter of the article is an explanation of a not-too-difficult word, and the other three quarters could easily be put onto the associated characters' trivia sections. Litwick96 (talk) 16:24, 1 August 2015 (UTC)

I don't think this page should be deleted. It is only a small page but I have used it several times. Tiddlywinks (talk) 21:24, 28 September 2015 (UTC)

For what? We may well be able to fulfill the same sort of uses you found in this page on a different page, if you can explain better. Tiddlywinks (talk) 21:24, 28 September 2015 (UTC)
