Undubbed character This article is about a character featured in the Pokémon anime who has not yet debuted in the English language dub.
As such, their information may contain romanized Japanese names, rather than dub names.

(Japanese: タケル Takeru) is a character of the day who appeared in A League of His Own!.

Takeru saw Ash on television being interviewed by Malva at the Lumiose Conference and planned on challenging him to a battle. He found Ash and asked him for a battle, to which Ash agreed to, until Serena and Clemont stopped the battle from starting because Ash could end up missing the registration deadline.

Later, Takeru came across Ash in a hallway in the Conference's stadium and the two battled. Takeru sent out his Furfrou and Ash chose his Pikachu. After a couple of attacks from both Pokémon, Ash eventually won the match. After Ash won, Takeru started crying while on his knees, because he didn't have the eight needed Gym Badges to take part in the League, to which Ash consoled the sad Trainer. This battle caused Ash to be late for his first battle in the Conference and after Ash left Takeru to go to his battle, Takeru was seen sitting against one of the walls in the same hallway and smiling. At the end of the episode, Takeru was seen watching the scoreboard before he left.
