Ice Scales (Japanese: こおりのりんぷん Ice Scales) is an Ability introduced in Generation VIII. It is the signature Ability of Snom and Frosmoth.

Effect

In battle

Ice Scales halves damage from special moves that hit Pokémon with this Ability. (Including moves that target an opponent's physical defense like Psyshock) It has no effect on moves that deal direct damage.

Outside of battle

It is unknown if Ice Scales has an effect outside of battle.
