Aw. I was hoping Together+2008 would beat ATBAPM+Whiteberry... Oh well.

Wonder how long this one'll last. Hopefully at least up until DP150. TTEchidna 02:32, 19 September 2008 (UTC)

Thank god! Aw how cute. It's sung by Ash and Dawn. I'm looking forward to this one. --ケンジガール 05:28, 19 September 2008 (UTC)
Pearlshipping evidence? We may just see. TTEchidna 06:21, 19 September 2008 (UTC)

Dogasu said on the forums that "High Five!" is a more accurate translation, as "high touch" is essentially Japanese slang that has borrowed/manipulated an English phrase. I'm going to use "high five" on Bulbanews because I believe it's more accurate and much more understandable by English-speakers. I won't change it on Bulbapedia unless others wish to do so. --Argy 07:09, 19 September 2008 (UTC)

I was actually wondering if the "High Touch" referred to the high fives they keep giving each other. TTEchidna 07:20, 19 September 2008 (UTC)

Finally! The OP is changing. I can't wait to see how this one turns out. Hopefully of good quality. Together was nice, but it's time for a change.

Nice to see that Rica is singing for DP. CosmosShipper 3:47 19 September 2008 (EST)

eh....

i'll use this as an example

At about 00:44 - 00:46 i think i can hear a third voice in the back.~Ποκεμανιακα0β 02:50, 4 October 2008 (UTC)

And it sounds a bit like Takeshi~Ποκεμανιακα0β 03:08, 4 October 2008 (UTC)

Going with a no on that one. Think it's just Rica's voice doubled by the editors. Besides, Takeshi doesn't really sound like a woman. And is it just me on this one, or is it a very Ash opening, Dawn has a single contestish scene and Ash gets about half the song as a focus on him. Also, is that Pluto or Cyrus in the flaming background? Aura-Knight 05:08, 4 October 2008 (UTC)
Really? to me it sounds like 3 voices and one is a male's. I'm just saying that they might have added in his voice for that single part, though unlikely~Ποκεμανιακα0β 05:11, 4 October 2008 (UTC)
And I stuck it through a highacoustic earphones so i can hear it really loud~Ποκεμανιακα0β 05:14, 4 October 2008 (UTC)
Still a no, check 41-43, when her voice doubles. Same thing a few seconds later Aura-Knight 15:11, 4 October 2008 (UTC)
yes, but that's like 2 of her voices, in the other one, the second voice sounds much masculine~Ποκεμανιακα0β 15:29, 4 October 2008 (UTC)

With all due respect, that sounds like a machine translation. Here's my first draft.
  • (Dawn:) Getting better in a fight, yet still fighting,
  • there are a bunch of things I want to say,
  • but number one is
  • "thanks for being here for me."
  • (Ash:) No road is too long with good company.
  • I know a bunch of familiar faces,
  • but, to tell the truth,
  • I'm glad you're here for me.
  • (D:) Nice Partner
  • (A:) Nice Rival
  • (D:) Have a push!
  • (A:) Have a tug!
  • (both:) Have a look at the sun, it's a bit bright, huh? (hey hey hey)
  • If things are going well, high five! (hey hey hey)
  • Never again are we caving in.
  • If we are together
  • (A:) it's easy to make sense of things. GO GO GO (hey hey hey)
  • (b:) Things are going well, aren't they, high five! (hey hey hey)
  • Shake hands with your battle-opponent.
  • If we're together.
  • (A:) we can go further! GO GO GO
  • (b:) GO GO GO GO GO GO
I am a native speaker of English, and a Japanese-language novice. Thanks to a couple of years of Latin, I know how to translate using a dictionary and grammar, however, I'd like someone else to check these before I post them to the page. Translation notes:
  • L 1: not at all confident of this line.
  • L 2: substituted EN idiom "a bunch" for 'ippai'/'one cup'
  • L 4, 8: "being here for me," literally 'being.present - doing.for'
  • L 5: This translation comes from the Tanaka corpus, written by native Japanese speakers of English. It sounds like a proverb to me.
  • L 11-12: literally "pushing - giving", "tugging - giving"
  • L 13: "The look-up-to sun is a bit bright."
  • L 15: I read "hekonjatte" as an abbreviation for "hekonde shimatte"/ "caving.in finished.with"
  • L 17: "to make sense of things" translation of "akirameru no wa", assuming akirameru means "to clarify"「明らめる」. "Akirameru" is a homophone, also meaning "to abandon, give up on" 「諦める」, I can't be sure without the kanji--though I think this interpretation makes sense in context.

hmmm, do we need someone to confirm this?~Ποκεμανιακα0β 15:43, 4 October 2008 (UTC)

Please. Also, notable that the wingull are the only wild non-legendary Pokés in the entire op? Aura-Knight 02:59, 5 October 2008 (UTC)

Well, as the Brazilian PSBR Fansub's translator, I can translate this and Ashita wa Kitto. Do you people want it? Netto-kun Talk 21:59, 6 October 2008 (UTC)
Yes! and long time no talk Netto-kun~Ποκεμανιακα0β 22:00, 6 October 2008 (UTC)
Marianmister, where did you translate that...it's all wrong, especially the fouth to last and third to last line; I know enough to know that it says, "If we're together," and "we can go (or "travel", depending on the word choice) further".-Tavisource 04:06, 7 October 2008 (UTC)
