Ok. The list of pokemon that can be taught Mimic via Tutor in FRLG is EXTREMELY long. Who CAN'T learn it? Me and my fellow torchics agree on this - Sk8torchic 20:03, 23 October 2008 (UTC)
- Caterpie, Metapod, Weedle, Kakuna, Ditto, Unown, Wobbuffet, Smeargle, Wurmple, Silcoon, Cascoon, Wynaut, Beldum. They can't learn it. Cipher (Talk) 20:14, 23 October 2008 (UTC)
- You missed Magikarp. Other than that, though, nice list of the usual suspects...--Shiningpikablu252 21:40, 23 October 2008 (UTC)
Sketch
if one mimiced sketch, what would happen? would the move last after the battle? - Decresc
- No.Mimic is the "first move" so when it mimics Sketch it loses it after battle.--DCM((TalkContributions))
- Actually, it is possible for Sketch to beat Mimic. Last I checked, both Mimic and Sketch were on the same speed priority. If Sketch is used on a target that hasn't yet moved, it will fail since there's no previous move for Sketch to copy. If one with Mimic moves after one with Sketch, Sketch can be Mimiced. Last I checked, Template:P2 is faster than Template:P2 (although Template:P2 outspeeds the signature Sketcher).
- On the same token, if Mimic is the first move used, it will fail and can then be successfully Sketched. --Shiningpikablu252 01:59, 24 October 2008 (UTC)
- A possible way to learn Sketch permanently: If one used Mimic during the first round against a Smeargle which only knew Sketch, and the trainer with Smeargle used an item that round, the Mimic-user would mimic Sketch. The next round, the Smeargle could use Sketch, with the Mimic-user's trainer using an item. The third round, the Mimic-user could use the Mimiced Sketch to copy a genuine Sketch permanently. I think I'll be trying that with my Crystal sometime soon.
well theoreticly, isn't it possible to get an elecvire with volt talkle and swordsdance?
