Inner focus?

In Battle Pyramid there are wild Brelooms that use Focus Punch without charging first... how is that possible? (even though Breloom has not Inner Focus as ability) hfc2X 22:00, 23 January 2009 (UTC)

Inner Focus has nothing to do with Focus Punch(a) And (b) Misproggramming...maybe. A better question would be what happens if two pokemon use Focus Punch in the same turn? Me and my fellow torchics agree on this - Sk8torchic. 20:09, 25 February 2009 (UTC)
The faster one goes first, pretty simple. Just like any moves with the same priority. Dexington 02:45, 30 July 2009 (UTC)
Getting back to the first question though...I want to know also...are you sure it's Focus Punch, not Mach Punch or something else? ht14 02:48, 30 July 2009 (UTC)

Substitute?

If your opponent hits a Substitute, will focus punch still hit them? Mageslayer 07:51, 28 June 2009 (UTC)

New comments go at the bottom, and sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). In answer to your question, yes Focus Punch will work, provided that the opponent doesn't use a multi-hit move which breaks the sub. before its last move. I.e. If your Pokémon takes damage it will fail. If it doesn't take damage, it will succeed. Thus it is possible for a Focus Punch to hit after an attack misses it. Werdnae 08:32, 28 June 2009 (UTC)

Apologies, the only other Wiki I edited wanted new comments first (sort of an automatic sort-by-date function, I guess), and I hadn't thought of the fact that this might be different. As for signing it... Well I forgot. My bad :P Mageslayer 09:05, 28 June 2009 (UTC)

Toxicroak

Someone who knows how this template works, please remove Toxicroak. I tried and it makes everything after the table disappear. --ケンジガール 02:11, 30 July 2009 (UTC)

Done. You needed to use the {{movebtm}} on the final template in the stack, because it contains the closing |}. Skipping it caused the trivia section, et al, to get eaten. —darklordtrom 02:43, 30 July 2009 (UTC)

Anime uses

Should it be mentioned that this move is not as crappy in the anime? It dosn't seem to have any of the debilitating side effects the game has. In the anime it never seems to go second, the other pokemon just stands there and takes it, it collides with another move or misses fast pokemon. Very few times has any pokemon lost focus when using focus punch. This is obviously most prevalent with Aipom in which it was almost its signature move with Ash. -- D558 18:28, 15 August 2009 (UTC)

Actually, that's because they use it when they have the time to pull it off. And unlike in the games, the user can dodge an attack. It does take time. If you haven't noticed, Ash normally had Aipom use it when the opponent had just attacked, or when they were on opposite sides of the battle field. Otherwise, he was lucky that Aipom pulled it off before getting hit. R.A. Hunter Blade 22:55, 15 August 2009 (UTC)
