(Japanese: 熱戦前夜！サトシのポケモン大集合！！ Eve of Battle! Satoshi's Pokémon All Together!!) is the 182nd episode of the Diamond & Pearl series, and the 648th episode of the Pokémon anime. It first aired in Japan on June 24, 2010.
Synopsis
The gang has finally reached Suzaran Island and Ash has registered for the Pokemon League. While there, they bump into Conway who has said he will be competing too. Ash has decided to get all of his Reserve Pokémon together for some training and to decide who to use in the league. However, when they arrive in Sinnoh, they all get out of their PokéBalls and are playing about nearby. To top it off, Team Rocket arrives with a dastardly scheme to capture all of Ash's Pokémon. But the Poké Balls get separated from Team Rocket, so Ash and co. searches and finds Totodile, Corphish, Snorlax (Sent by mistake; Oak was supposed to send in Heracross), and Bayleef. Cyndaquil is left, but Team Rocket finds it first. It then uses its new move Flame Wheel to crash into a tree and set it on fire. Ash and the others see the smoke and find it. They then destroy the machine but it fixes itself and Team Rocket goes after Cyndaquil again. Just as they reach for it, Cyndaquil glows and evolves into Quilava. Quilava then learns Eruption to blast off Team Rocket. They then celebrate. After that, Glalie, Torkoal, Heracross, Noctowl and Muk show up so Ash can start his training session. At last, the Sinnoh League starts and Ash's first opponent will be Nando. Who will win?
Major events
- Ash and his friends arrive at Suzuran Island for the Suzuran Conference.
- Paul, Barry, Nando and Conway also enter the Suzuran Conference, the latter two having earned the eight Gym Badges required.
- Ash decides to use the Pokémon he has stored at Professor Oak's Laboratory alongside the Pokémon he has acquired in Sinnoh during the tournament, and Oak sends in Corphish, Totadile, Snorlax by mistake (suppose to bring in Heracross), Bayleef, Cyndaquil, Glalie, Torkoal, Noctowl, and Muk.
- Ash's Cyndaquil is revealed to have learned Flame Wheel.
- Ash's Cyndaquil evolves into Quilava and learns Eruption.
- Ash learns he will be battling Nando in the first round of the tournament.
