(Japanese: アイリスのキバゴ Iris's Kibago) is the first Pokémon that Iris was known to have. It debuted alongside its Trainer in BW001.
History
Kibago is the first Pokémon that Iris is known to have obtained. She obtained Kibago from a respected lady in her hometown when Kibago was just a day old.
Kibago was the first Pokémon that Ash scanned with his new Pokédex in BW002, though he was actually aiming it at Iris's hair and wondering why Kibago looked nothing like what the Pokédex showed. Kibago appears to be a friendly Pokémon, making quick friends with Ash's Pikachu. They are shown to have a strong relationship such as in BW003 where a Meguroco had caught it in its jaws, Iris tried everything to get it out.
In BW005, Dent tells the two that Iris and Kibago have perfect compatibility. In BW006 it was revealed that Kibago wants to evolve to its final stage, unlike most of the other walking Pokémon in the anime.
Kibago has been shown to have some childish traits, such as in BW008, where it fought Pikachu when it thought it was the one who ate all the food. In BW009, it was shown the Kibago has not had much experience in battling, crying when it was hit by weakened attacks from Dent's Yanappu, however it was shown to be able to produce a extremely powerful Dragon Rage which can cause massive destruction.
Like Pikachu and Dawn's Piplup, Kibago appears to prefer being outside of its Poké Ball, but unlike them, it likes to travel inside Iris's long hair, while Pikachu and Piplup usually go on their Trainer's shoulder.

Trivia
- Kibago is the first Dragon-type Pokémon to be owned by a main character other than Ash.
- Both Pokemon came from places that specialize in Dragon-types.
- The method used by Kibago to charge up Dragon Rage before firing is very similar to the way that Ash's Gible would charge up Draco Meteor.
- Coincidently both Kibago and Gible have trouble executing these moves at the very beginning while Gible has since mastered it in the Sinnoh Leauge.
- Both moves are also the same type as the Pokemon mention above, Dragon-types.
- Also, Kibago and Gible are both part of a 2-stage evolutionary line that retain the same type throughout their evolution.
