Volt Absorb (Japanese: ちくでん Electricity Storage) is an ability introduced in Generation III. Five Pokémon have this ability, all of which are Template:Type2.

Effect

In battle

Volt Absorb heals one quarter of the user's maximum HP when hit with an Template:Type2 attack. Therefore, the user does not take damage from Electric-type moves. However, before the 4th generation Thunder Wave can paralyze a Pokémon with Volt Absorb without setting off the effect.

Outside of battle

Volt Absorb has no effect outside of battle.
