Userspace limits
Hi. I noticed you have been editing the User:
namespace a lot recently. Please don't do it any more, though. Bulbapedia's Userspace policy restricts the amount you can edit your userpage: no more than three edits per day. This policy was instated to prevent strain on our server, and also to promote people helping out in the mainspace. Bulbapedia is an encyclopedia, after all, so help us out by contributing to some articles before coming back to your personal userpage. The more often you edit in the mainspace, the more you will be allowed to edit your userpage. Thanks! --—♥ Jellotalk 23:04, 14 October 2010 (UTC)
Ok, I didn't know, whack me in the head if it was obvious. Pika332323:15 got to go.
- Well, now you know. Also, please use the preview button, it's right beside the save button. You don't need to make so many edits to one page in such a short period of time. Thanks. —♥ Jellotalk 23:19, 14 October 2010 (UTC)
- I use it all the time...Pika3323 10:43 15 October 2010 (UTC)
Hold on!
If you did not read your last warning, then please read it now. You have edited the User:
namespace too much. In the past, no one was allowed to edit their userpages because some users were over-editing their own userpages. Your personal editing privileges can be taken away, so please do not edit your page any more for now. Instead, how about helping contribute to some of Bulbapedia's many articles? Thank you. ----Cold (talk) 22:00, 18 October 2010 (UTC)
- Well I guess I counted wrong............darn.I'll stop editing it.Pika3323 22:02, 18 Oct 2010 (UTC)
- The server's time zone probably differs from yours. If you're unsure, check your contributions.--Cold (talk) 22:07, 18 October 2010 (UTC)
Can you help me?
I have no idea how to edit my user page... and you said you might know how. So im asking for help please. You dont have to help me if you dont wanna. -Keekk1
- 1. sign on talk pages with ~~~~.
- 2. On bulbapedia it requires editing done on mainspace, and time.
- 3. On archives put #REDIRECT[[bp:User:Keekk1]]—★Pika3323 16:17, 5 February 2011 (UTC)

Thanks for answering my question, but now I'm lost: I couldn't find the "upload new version of this file" on the page. The admins are still the only ones able to update files?
Maneco 21:46, 10 February 2011 (UTC)
- No not at all, anybody should see it unless a admin blocked you. Click here scroll to the bottom you should see the following: File links, Edit this file using an external application, and in light blue the magic update button saying: Upload a new version of this file.—★Pika3323 21:58, 10 February 2011 (UTC)
- Hmmm... Looks like I'm blocked. Don't know the reason, though. I've uploaded only Lyra's Commemorative prints which weren't previously uploaded, but that's all.
- Maneco 22:03, 10 February 2011 (UTC)
- To upload over existing files you must be autoconfirmed on the archives. When did you activate your archives account? Werdnae (talk) 22:06, 10 February 2011 (UTC)
- Well, in my preferences, it is saying my account is activated in both Bulbapedia and the Archives. Interestingly, I can upload a new version of a file I actually first uploaded to the Archives, but I can't do it to any other file there.
- Maneco 22:25, 10 February 2011 (UTC)
- Yeah. I think the account becomes autoconfirmed on the archives a short time (a week or something like that maybe?) after the account was activated. So if you first logged in on the Archives today, you won't be able to upload over the files that were already there for a short time. Werdnae (talk) 22:32, 10 February 2011 (UTC)
Small heads up.
I noticed you wanted to link to files, but did it like this: [File:Spr 5b 495.png]
, if you want to link to the image without showing the full image, you need to type: [[a:File:Spr 5b 495.png]]
, and it will result in the following: a:File:Spr 5b 495.png. I thought I'd tell you this. Masatoshitalk 22:09, 17 February 2011 (UTC)
