Talk:Mistralton City
The "real" Mistralton City
Very interesting video on what could have been the original reference for Mistralton City. Even has the gardens and everything. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C917M-ejYVc Adjutant 13:20, 26 March 2012 (UTC)
Exclusive design
Assuming that picture of Mistralton City is from Pokemon Black, I believe there is a version exclusive design. My Pokemon White has brown soil instead of these garden-like glass buildings found around the airstrip. Should we notice the version difference in the article? --Han Ji-Wan 06:29, 18 April 2011 (UTC)
I see the cargo service section
It seems like it must be important to get its own section. And indeed, when you check Mistralton on the map, it has Cargo Service listed..Um...Why is all that? I mean, seriously if anyone knows, that information would be great to put up. I sure cant figure it out. But if I do, i will place it on this page PowerPlantRaichu 04:26, 1 November 2011 (UTC)
- What? Care to elaborate on what you mean?--ForceFire 04:51, 1 November 2011 (UTC)
- Forgot I wrote this. Sorry, and yeah i'll elaborate: Everything about this town is weird. when you highlight it on the map it lists its cargo service. it has an airport that talks about its once daily cargo services. You are told by numerous people about the runway, how its safe all except at one point a day, when its doing the cargo service...It even has an airport with receptionists, behind desks with doors in back (like the old union room and such in pokemon centers.) It says all this, makes such a big deal out of it...and absolutely nothing seems to matter.
- Basically...There seems to be absolutely no point in mentioning so many times, both in game and the article, about the cargo service. Because as far as I can tell? It does not exist in any meaningful manner, despite its heavy promotion. And thats really bizarre. So really, why is the information about the cargo service, which is totally irrelevant to anyhting that ever happens in the game at any point, discussed so much? Its essentially just any other road or path. This bothers me for reasons I'm having trouble expressing. It feels a lot like the Amusement Park area of Nimbasa, except with much less to actually do that actually means something. PowerPlantRaichu 02:52, 2 January 2012 (UTC)
Planes
I think the planes at the airport look a lot like a Airbus A300-600ST which are used in real life to transport oversized cargo. I have included a link and a picture, though since I don't know how to resize it, I have hidden the picture. Is this simarly worth mentioning? Truthseeker4449 23:33, 4 January 2012 (UTC)
- You could just link one of the lower resolution renders of it (which Wikipedia offers). Anyway, I guess they do look similar, and we know that they are cargo planes. --SnorlaxMonster 14:43, 5 January 2012 (UTC)
- There's a much smaller picture for refence now. What got my attention was the fact both aircraft have bulges above the cockpit that extend down the length of the plane. But can this similarly be added to the article? Truthseeker4449 13:20, 6 January 2012 (UTC)
- I guess mentioning in the trivia that they look similar would be fine. --SnorlaxMonster 13:48, 6 January 2012 (UTC)
- How's this: The aircraft found at the airport bare a strong resemblance to the Airbus A300-600ST, a light duty cargo plane designed to carry aircraft parts to factories for assembly. Truthseeker4449 23:39, 9 January 2012 (UTC)
