School

The school is located north of the village and is run by principal Simipour and vice principal Watchog, and is where the player goes every day during the first part of the game. The students include the player, partner, Goomy, Espurr, a Spring Form Deerling, Shelmet, and Pancham. Much of the early story takes place here. The students are taught by Farfetch'd and the school nurse is an Audino, who is also the head doctor of the village.

Residential area

The west side of Serene Village is home to the Residential district. The northernmost house is home to the player's partner and their guardian, Carracosta. Just south of that is Nuzleaf's residence, where the player lives. The house west of Nuzleaf's belongs to Roselia and her daughter, Budew. The southernmost home belongs to Espurr, who lives by herself.
