Talk:PI (Trainer class)
Does anyone have a sprite of the PI? ~Kumori Satosuke
Ethical reasons?!
What's wrong with calling them Gamblers, I'd like to know! What, they don't want to condone gambling? And yet they got that casino in Celadon City thinly disguised as a "Game Corner". I'm Missingno. Master, and I approve this message. 11:46, 26 April 2008 (UTC)
- Uh, because they are not gamblers. PI stands for private investigator; that's a detective to you or me. -Lord Hyren 05:13, 21 June 2008 (UTC)
- A detective with a gambling problem, that is. Anyhow, because of their citation of Celadon, I think Missingno. Master was referring purely to FireRed/LeafGreen. Punkrockrevel 18:32, 29 June 2008 (UTC)
- I'm guessing the name was changed from Gambler to Gamer for the same reason that the Game Corner's slot machines were removed in later games in the European versions (i.e. gambling restrictions in Europe). --Evice 23:47, 29 August 2009 (UTC)

Metronome
Yeah, the page needs a bit of a change. It says that they mostly employ risky moves such as Metronome. Nothing a Gambler, Gamer, or PI has ever used can even LEARN Metronome. Closest I can see is PI Carlos's Goldeen and Seaking using Horn Drill. And even then, I don't know if they know the move when you battle him. Missingno. Master wants YOU! - The Restaurant's PI has a Rhyhorn that knows Horn Drill (at least in Pt). Anaphysik 06:28, 8 March 2010 (UTC)
Gamblers and PI's Together?
Maybe its because of space, but I see no similarities between the Gambler/Gamer class and PI's and to have them on the same page. Gamblers are old, PI's are young. Gamblers use a variety of types while PI's only use Goldeen and Seakings (with the exception of ONE in Platinum.) I understand the name was changed due to censorship, but it seems like quite the stretch to me. --Blaziken=Tahu (talk) 00:16, 24 January 2013 (UTC)
