Release information
This card was included in the Dark Explorers expansion, first released in the Japanese Dark Rush expansion. Two special Crosshatch Holofoil versions were given out over the course of the 2012-2013 season. One was given to participants of the North American 2012-2013 State•Province•Territory Championships, the other was given to participants of European 2012-2013 Spring Regional Championships. Both also have gold foil stamped "Staff" versions, which were given to those overseeing the event.
This card was reprinted with different artwork as one of eight cards available in the File Collection, released during the 2012 Pokémon Center Eevee Collection campaign. The campaign itself began on November 11, 2012, with the File Collection released on November 23, 2012 at a cost of ¥2,100. The File Collection, much like the Reshiram and Zekrom-themed file released early in the BW era, contains an assortment of stickers to decorate and organize the file. A placeholder card is also inserted along with the other cards, advertising the Eeveelution-themed Pokémon Center card available during the Spiral Force • Thunder Knuckle booster pack promotion in December 2012. This print was later released in the English Sylveon Collection on November 15, 2013.
