Viridian City
Well, it looks like it's back to this place again! There is nothing special this time, except...the Gym!
Viridian Gym
The door is finally unlocked, The floors are filled with spinners beware of the path you choose or you will be battling a few trainers before you battle the final gym leader of the Kanto Region!

After defeating Giovanni, you will receive the Earth Badge! Give yourself a clap on the back for gaining all 8 Gym badges!
Route 22
Head west of Viridian City, and you'll find yourself on Route 22! But that's not all. You must battle your rival, who is also on his way to the Elite Four.
Route 23
To get to Victory Road, you must get past eight guards, who will only let those who has all eight Gym Badges to enter. You can catch some high leveled Pokémon by the patches of grass.
Once you have finished this, go on to Victory Road.
