Alex is Maxy's rival from Saffron City. He once entered Silver Conference but lost and was ranked in Top 32. He later faced Maxy in Ever Grande Conference, but lost, and was ranked to Top 8. Like Maxy, he's currently travelling at Sinnoh.

Lucas the Dark

Lucas the Dark is a mysterious Trainer who has defeated Alex thrice; once during Silver Conference and twice in unoffical battles, from which the latter two he won with his mysterious Pokémon. After the third loss, Alex sweared to defeat him after he would have competed in the Sinnoh League.
