Thanks for the help -trom.If it possible to add.I recall the new diamond and pearl anime used to air on sundays mornings on tv2 at around 7:30 2years back airing about 30 episodes.Sorry for the slack details.--Solid! 11:11, 17 September 2009 (UTC)

That was mostly noted already. Also, don't copy infobox templates directly from the source code. That's a major fail... although not quite as big a fail as a certain City Council right now.... but we'll leave them out of this ;) —darklordtrom 11:16, 17 September 2009 (UTC)

Pokemon aired at 7.40 am on tv2 according to this. http://tvnz.co.nz/pokemon/diamond-and-pearl-2070513 --Solid! 02:22, 26 January 2010 (UTC)

Anything else needed here?

Trom do you think there anything missing or needs to be added - thanks --Solid! 21:57, 10 October 2009 (UTC)

After my finals I'm gonna start researching a Pokémon in New Zealand article for Project Globe. This article will eventually be merged into that. I don't think it needs any further information for the time being. It mentions all Pokémon anime-related information that I knew about and a snippet of general history. Readers can refer to Wikipedia if they want to know more about the channel. —darklordtrom 22:16, 10 October 2009 (UTC)

NEW ZEALAND FANS PLZ

So I remember my first encounter with the franchise was in 1999. I know the anime was out then. It aired daily, but I can't remember if it was before or after school. It was initially on TV2. I know it was at 4pm in 2000. Or 2001. It aired on TV3 back then. Went up until Goldenrod, then hiatus, then back to TV2 daily after school. Went up until the end of Johto on that timeslot. After that I lost track.

As for the games... I didn't have one until Diamond. Blue and Yellow were around in 1999. GS came soon after, Crystal came out just before my Year 7 camp, so that would have been winter 2002. When do NZ games usually come out? I remember RS in 2003. FRLG at the end of 2004.

TCG. I never followed this, but I know my friend had a set. It would have been one of the first sets. Is the TCG still for sale here? I collected some sort of sticker... you could get six in a pack for $1. Anyone (from any country?) know these? I might still have them somewhere, it would be interesting to know if they are a multinational thing.

Everyone moved on to Yu-Gi-Oh! in 2003. And then I went to high school and we never talked of these years again. —darklordtrom 08:41, 25 January 2010 (UTC)

Thanks for your info trom I will be using it.I have this flag of Nz File:NewZealandflag.gif .Trying to put it in info box but do not know how --Solid! 02:08, 26 January 2010 (UTC)

You might want to upload it as .png here:New Zealand Flag.png since the infobox seems to be only taking .png filenames. After that, it should automatically appear in the infobox. Hope that helps. Jello 02:18, 26 January 2010 (UTC)

I have now put on a another with png but still not there.--Solid! 02:32, 26 January 2010 (UTC)

Click on the clock up by your username when looking at the page to clear the cache. That'll make it show up, but you might want to upload a slightly smaller flag . . . Werdnae (talk) 02:44, 26 January 2010 (UTC)
Yeah, I can see the changes now after clearing the cache. You might want to resize and upload it again as 100x50 px though. Jello 02:47, 26 January 2010 (UTC)

sweet.Resized and on sandbox.Thanks --Solid! 03:22, 26 January 2010 (UTC)

How about an Australia/New Zealand combo article? Since the two countries are so close together...--Manga-in-a-bottle 09:40, 26 January 2010 (UTC)

*hovers cursor over block option* Er... jokes :P The only way we'd be able to have a combined article would be if all the release information was the same, and I'm not so sure about that. Despite what most of the world thinks, the two countries are indeed quite different. —darklordtrom 09:49, 26 January 2010 (UTC)

Sorry to be patriotic to the ausie's but I dont like the idea of having united article of australia and New zealand.--Solid! 21:53, 26 January 2010 (UTC)

I'm from New Zealand and I'm positive the anime aired before 1998 as I wasn't 12 when it aired. I know this because I was still living with my real mother when it aired and I moved into a foster home when I was almost 10.--Lycos Ex Mortis 08:09, 7 March 2010 (UTC)

Canada

Why does this have information about Canada? Turtwig A (talk | contribs) 21:58, 26 January 2010 (UTC)

My guess is he copy & pasted the Canada article for all the templates and article layout, etc and will gradually replace the Canada stuff with New Zealand info. --ZestyCactus 23:44, 26 January 2010 (UTC)

Yes youve hit barrell on the head.I copyed the entire canadian article and am in the process of taking out all the canadanian info and put in info related to nz.Ive even asked a admin before i did it.--Solid! 01:22, 27 January 2010 (UTC)

This article

This is pretty well-written, but could use more unique information to make it stand out from the other Project Globe articles (and, imo, to justify having an article about an English-speaking country). What does NZ have that nowhere else does? Are there any toys, books, magazines, etc that have only been released in New Zealand? What kind of event Pokémon specifically have been available? Etc, etc. This article has a lot of potential - it just needs more unique info to take it from good to exceptional. --ZestyCactus 01:37, 2 March 2010 (UTC)

AFAIK nothing specific. I did have a Pokémon sticker collection (of stickers that I haven't seen on Bulbapedia), so that may have been NZ-only, but I wouldn't doubt that everything here is marketed in either Australia or the US. I'll try and get pics, so you can determine whether you've seen them elsewhere. —darklordtrom 07:01, 2 March 2010 (UTC)
