Skystar (Real Name: Mark) is a sixteen year old Canadian user of Bulbapedia. His goal is to help out on the anime and manga parts of the site.
History with Pokémon
Skystar first found out about Pokémon when the first episode of Pokémon aired on the Candian television station YTV and he mistook it as Digimon (However, his recollection of the event is not one hundred percent and he may of instead first watched Digimon because he thought it was Pokémon). As soon as he watched the episode, he was in love with the series and forced his mother to get him the game Pokémon Blue (because he was a very spoiled child and because Blue was his favorite color). He started with a Squirtle that he called AAAAA (which was by accident. And don't judge him as he was only five and didn't understand how the 'Back' button worked). Soon after he received Red, on which he selected a Bulbasaur known as Bulba as his starter, and Yellow, on which he nicknamed his Pikachu Pika.
When Generation II came out in Canada, he got both Gold and Silver for Christmas (again because he was a spoiled child). He instantly fell in love with Totodile during his play through of Silver. He also like Cyndaquil, but HATED Chikorita (because it took him FOREVER to beat Falkner with it before deciding to restart the game with Totodile). When Crystal came out, he got that and started with a Totodile again but named that Tototoo (because the Totodile in Silver was called Toto and two Pokémon couldn't be named the same!).
Then Generation III rolled around and he played that, using each starter in each game. However, he didn't get Fire Red or Leaf Green because...well, he's not sure why, but he knows he didn't get them.
And then Generation IV happened. Oh, Generation IV, how he loved it! But all of his friends, at that point, had stopped playing Pokémon and condemned Skystar for still playing and so he stopped playing it for the entirety of a week before saying to his friends "Screw you guys! I love Pokémon and I don't care if you do or not! If this bothers you so much, then I'll find other friends!" And with that, he became friends with his current set of friends, with whom he talks about and plays Pokémon with all the time.
On February 7th, 2010, he and his good friend Kurt did something amazing; they watched the unveiling of the silhouette of Zoroark on Pokémon Sunday. They were incredibly excited and have plans of getting the opposite versions of Generation V and battling each other once they get them.
So...yeah! That is the story of Skystar and Pokémon.
