Pokéblock
In Generation III Games, Pokémon can be entered in Contests. There are 5 different types of contests: Coolness, Beauty, Smartness, Cuteness, and Toughness. These contests are composed of two parts. The first is a Preliminary Judging, in which each spectator votes which Pokémon seems to best fit the contest category. For example, in a Coolness Contest, the crowd would vote which Pokémon looks the coolest. The second part of the Contest is Appeals, at which point the competing Pokémon use attacks that fit the category. Each Pokémon attack is categorized as being Cool, Beautiful, Smart, Cute, or Tough.
The Preliminary Judging is based on the type and amount of Pokéblocks each Pokémon has eaten. Pokéblocks are composed of berries mixed in a Berry Blender. Different berries are mixed in the Berry Blender create different colors of Pokéblocks. Each color enhances a Contest condition for the Pokémon that eats it.
The flavor and color of the berry changes the color of the Pokéblock. There are five different berry flavors: Spicy, Dry, Bitter, Sweet, and Sour. If Spicy Berries are mixed in the Blender, the Pokéblock created will probably enhance Coolness. Dry berries enhance Beauty, Bitter enhances Smartness, Sweet enhances Cuteness, and Sour enhances Toughness. Coolness-enhancing Pokéblocks are generally red in color, Beauty is generally blue, Smart is generally green, Cute is generally pink, and Tough is generally yellow.
One can view the Contest conditions for one's party of Pokémon by opening the PokéNav, selecting Condition, and selecting Party Pokémon.
The Pokémon Feebas evolves into Milotic by maxing out its Beauty condition. This is achieved by feeding the Feebas Beauty-Enhancing Pokéblocks until it will not eat anymore.
