Hmm. Now that I've made this category, I should open up the floor to discussion on what qualifies as focusing on a character and what does not, particularly since it's more subjective than episode events and it can be kind of vague in the beginning when there were more episodes focusing on the friends as a group rather than spotlighting an individual character or Pokémon.

Pikachu is of particular note, since there are going to be plenty of episodes, I think, that have Pikachu in a battle but don't actually focus on Pikachu. I think ones like, say, the Pewter Gym and Vermilion Gym episodes count as focusing on Pikachu, since there's a lot of focus on how Pikachu will overcome the challenge.

Jessie, James, and Meowth are also going to be tricky, because there are a lot of episodes with their antics as a sideplot. I think we might have to be a little more discriminating with them, because while they are pretty much always playing a role, they usually are doing such outside the focus, whereas it's only a few where we get to see things more from their side.

What do you guys think? --Pie ~ 19:13, 11 April 2007 (UTC)

  • snerk* I think I can count all the Brock or Tracey episodes on my fingers and toes. Those shouldn't be too hard. Tracey had what - his intro, the Wacky Watcher, and Tracey Gets Bugged? --Zeta 19:22, 11 April 2007 (UTC)
Yeah, Tracey gets like nothing. Brock might have a few more than you think, though, especially since I'm leaning towards being more liberal with focus. Like the Mt. Moon, Hidden Village, and Charmander episodes I'm all classifying as Brock-focused, since even though he wasn't staring, he had a notable role in the plot of each. --Pie ~ 19:27, 11 April 2007 (UTC)
