Welcome to Bulbapedia, Brennan1357!

Here are a few links to help you get started:

The Manual of Style, or MoS, outlines the format of all pages on Bulbapedia.

Our friendly team of staff are here to help! Talk to them if you have any questions or problems with Bulbapedia.

On talk pages, please sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~), or by using the "Your signature with a timestamp" (button_sig.png) button at the top of the edit window.

On Bulbapedia, the ability to edit personal userpages is a privilege. Per our userpage policy, this must be earned by first making constructive edits to the mainspace. Once you can, remember to keep userspace edits (edits to User:Brennan1357) to a minimum.

For a complete list of policies and editing advice, please see the Welcome Portal.
Thank you, and have a good time editing here!

Pokemon Gyms

It's unneeded. Please don't recreate it again, thanks. That or keep in your userspace. Also, don't create it at another name just to get around the protection. It might get you banned. --Psyライダー 21:24, 3 August 2010 (UTC)

Your pages were deleted because they were pointless. You were told to stop making them and you didn't. Listen to us next time. -- MAGNEDETH 21:32, 3 August 2010 (UTC)

Masquerain

Masquerain is a Bug/Flying type, not a Bug/Water type. Please stop changing it from Bug/Flying to Bug/Water. Thanks, Turtwig's A-B-Cs (talk | contribs) 23:27, 4 August 2010 (UTC)

Please stop inserting false information into articles, it could get you blocked. Thanks. Jellotalk 23:32, 4 August 2010 (UTC)

I'm Really Sorry About That, I Have A Pokemon Heart Gold Guide Book And It Had A Misprint Saying Masquerain Was Bug/Water, After That I Actually Caught A Masquerain, And It Is A Bug/Flying Type, Again, I'm Sorry,By Brennan1357

Yeah, It Might Be Weird, But I Can't Edit MY OWN USERPAGE!!!

For Starters (Not The Bulbasaur Kind, The Hello Kind), This Post Is By Brennan1357 (I Didn't Put A Link Because It Takes Up Time I Don't Have) One Thing That Should Make This Post Make More Sense Is That I Use A Lot Of Commas And Parentases (I Have No Idea How To Spell That, But I Hope You Get The Point). I Made This Post,(It Will Be A Work In Progress) As A Workaround For The Fact That I CAN'T EDIT MY OWN USERPAGE!!!!!!, As A Start To The Real Post,(Not The Inroduction) I Am An Avid Player Of Pokemon And I Own Every Gen III Or IV Game Except For Ruby. By Brennan1357

The reason why you can't edit your userpage right now is because we have special rules in place to prevent users from editing their userpages until they have made productive edits to the mainspace over a period of time. If you make enough edits to the encyclopedia, you will be allowed to have a userpage. --ZestyCactus 14:06, 12 August 2010 (UTC)

Yes, ZestyCactus That Might Be True, But The Problem Is What If There Is Nothing To Edit. That Is Why I Think That It Is Stupid. That Is Why I Found This Workaround. By Brennan1357

There is never nothing to edit :P You can check out Category:Stubs, Category:Articles needing more information, Category:Articles needing improvement or Special:WantedPages if you're looking for some ideas. I realise it can be hard to find things to edit when you're new, but I'm sure you'll find something :3 (also, "workarounds" as you call them, are pretty frowned upon here... :S) --ZestyCactus 15:28, 12 August 2010 (UTC)

But Why Should It Have To, What Purpose Does It Serve To Have That Limit?? By Brennan1357

From what I hear, it was because back in March of '08, users were editing their pages so much, it caused severe server strains. This caused the block of the whole user pages for many months. Now, we are more oriented on the actual pages, with some abusers, but not many. Since most of the abusers were new users, they would be banned until they become autoconfirmed. Turtwig's A-B-Cs (talk | contribs) 20:17, 12 August 2010 (UTC)

When Are People Autoconfirmed? By Brennan1357

When they make enough edits to the mainspace, which are the pages about actual Pokémon stuff, like the gym pages, species pages, and the TCG pages. From my personal experience, I believe you also have to have a week old account. Turtwig's A-B-Cs (talk | contribs) 20:21, 12 August 2010 (UTC)

words

Not every word in a sentence is capitalized. Only the first word of the sentence and every proper noun is capitalized. - unsigned comment from Turtwig A (talkcontribs) Sorry, I Won't Capitalize Everything On The Mainspace, But On My User Talk, I Will.

I saw that you capitalized them again in the Almia and the Three Princes article. It isn't correct grammar, so please don't capitalize them unless they're proper nouns or the first word in the sentence. Turtwig's A-B-Cs (talk | contribs) 15:51, 16 August 2010 (UTC)

Hi

Please stop using your talk page as a susbsitute for your userpage, that can be considered talk page abuse. Also, please don't create duplicated articles, there's a thing called redirects, which can be made by using #REDIRECT [[page name]] Thanks. Jellotalk 15:51, 12 August 2010 (UTC)

I Didn't Know Ho To Do That, And It's Very Unlikely I Will Remember.

By Brennan1357

Well, if you ever forget, it's on your talk page for your reference. Alternatively, you can look at the source code for another redirect page. At any rate, please take a break from editing your User talk page for now, it's not meant to be a substitute for a User page and it is stressful on the server to make several small edits to one page in a row. --ZestyCactus 15:58, 12 August 2010 (UTC)
Another reminder, please use the preview button before saving, so you can see how your edits will look before you save. It's right beside the save button. Jellotalk 16:13, 12 August 2010 (UTC)
Please read the talk page policy, and lay off your talk page, . This isn't your personal userpage, and even if it was, you would be limited to 3 edits per day anyway. Your edits to this page aren't constructive or helping Bulbapedia as a whole, so please refrain from them. Jellotalk 16:20, 12 August 2010 (UTC)
Alight, it seems you aren't listening to the warnings given to you, so I'll ask that you stop one more time. After this, a higher up admin may have to take further action with you, which may include blocking you, so please listen. Jellotalk 16:54, 12 August 2010 (UTC)

Please...

You've been making too many edits to the User talk: namespace lately. Please take your conversations to the forums, a chatroom, e-mail, an IM service, or something similar, as that many edits will slow down the server. --Turtwig's A-B-Cs (talk | contribs) 16:29, 12 August 2010 (UTC)

ENOUGH ALREADY! listen to them already!

Preview Button

Please use the preview button. It's right next to the save button and it allows for multiple edits in one page save. Thank you. --Psyライダー 01:12, 17 August 2010 (UTC)

Look, when you're told to use the preview button, it does not mean you go ahead and make 3 more edits the same article after you have been warned. PLEASE, use the preview button, or you might face another block. Jellotalk 01:26, 17 August 2010 (UTC)
In all technicalities, I gotta let him off the hook for editing that many times. It was section by section. Not that it was really... helpful. The list by type was organized by type, and then suborganized by secondary type. TTEchidna 01:49, 17 August 2010 (UTC)

Userspace limits

Hi. I noticed you have been editing the User: namespace a lot recently. Please don't do it any more, though. Bulbapedia's Userspace policy restricts the amount you can edit your userpage: no more than three edits per day. This policy was instated to prevent strain on our server, and also to promote people helping out in the mainspace. Bulbapedia is an encyclopedia, after all, so help us out by contributing to some articles before coming back to your personal userpage. The more often you edit in the mainspace, the more you will be allowed to edit your userpage. Thanks! ----ZestyCactus 17:59, 22 August 2010 (UTC)

Hold on!

If you did not read your last warning, then please read it now. You have edited the User: namespace too much. In the past, no one was allowed to edit their userpages because some users were over-editing their own userpages. Your personal editing privileges can be taken away, so please do not edit your page any more for now. Instead, how about helping contribute to some of Bulbapedia's many articles? Thank you. -- Jellotalk 22:32, 22 August 2010 (UTC)

Final userspace warning

Do not edit the User: namespace any more. In the past, we were not allowed to edit our pages at all because of users over-editing their pages. If you edit your page any more without making some edits to the mainspace, then the privilege for you to edit the userspace will be removed. This has been your final warning. -- Jellotalk 22:32, 22 August 2010 (UTC)

Privileges revoked

Your failure to listen to these warnings has resulted in your userspace privileges being taken away. Your privileges may be returned in time if you help Bulbapedia grow by contributing to the mainspace. Please, next time listen to us. -- Jellotalk 22:32, 22 August 2010 (UTC)

So yeah

Abusing your userpage like that is really unacceptable behavior. For that, you have been put in the abuse usergroup. You should be making mainspace edits from now on and forget about anything in your userspace. Jellotalk 22:32, 22 August 2010 (UTC)

When Do I Get That Back?,

By Brennan1357

When you contribute to articles that aren't in the userspace. --Psyライダー 22:35, 22 August 2010 (UTC)
And if you keep asking, you're going to stay in abuse longer. You're just showing to us that you don't care about helping us at all and care more about your userpage. Jellotalk 22:36, 22 August 2010 (UTC)

Userspace content

You were banned from the userspace. Adding userspace content to your talk space is against the rule, and considered ban evasion. This is a blockable offense. If you continue adding it to your talkspace, you will be blocked from editing entirely. The main content of this site ALWAYS comes first, no matter what. If you don't start contributing to the mainspace, there is no reason you should be here at all. MaverickNate 13:54, 23 August 2010 (UTC) What Is The Worst That Could Happen If I Keep Placing Content For Fun (Not Even On A Page That's Meant For Fact)? By Brennan1357

It is annoying for those looking at the recent changes to constantly see edits to the same page. Also, editing too much causes problems with the site, making it slow down, and sometimes, even make the servers blow up for days, and we won't have the site at all. You had your chance to have those privileges. You blew it. Going five times over any limit is a horrible thing to do. So, as your punishment, you don't get to do it at all, until you prove to us that you can handle having the privileges, and use (not abuse) them in moderation. MaverickNate 14:06, 23 August 2010 (UTC)

Would It Be Okay If I Made 1 Fun Edit To This Page Per Day? By Brennan1357

No. You already went too far, and this page isn't the place where that content is allowed to go. MaverickNate 18:52, 23 August 2010 (UTC)

Catch Template Boxes

I notice for the third time that you are forgetting to update the catch/footer which requires a similar update to that of the catch/header, causing the boxes to go out of alignment. I am letting you know so I won't have to clean up your messes. If you need a good example try looking at the footers in the Hoenn or Sinnoh pages that have already been updated. -Tyler53841 16:04, 25 August 2010 (UTC)
