Talk:No Guard (Ability)
Note: This applies for all abilities. I think it would be a good idea if we had an extra section like: Out of Battle or something similar that is reworded. Then we could seperate the text instead of having a large block to read. Tesh 17:43, 21 September 2007 (UTC)
No Guard eliminates the immunity granted by Shadow Force. Diachronos 16:04, 29 September 2008 (UTC)
Does this ability eliminate immunities?
OHKO
Does no Guard allow OHKO attacks to hit the opponent every time? Obviously there's currently no way to have this happen, but if a Machamp with no guard knew sheer cold, could it theoretically always hit the opponent?--Skaisdead 21:51, 14 September 2009 (UTC)
- Provided the other conditions are met (levels or speed or whatever), then I see no theoretical problem. —darklordtrom 21:59, 14 September 2009 (UTC)
In-Battle Effects post-Diamond/Pearl
This does not happen anymore in Platinum or HeartGold/SoulSilver.
What, exactly, doesn't happen anymore? Does No Guard always break through Protect/Detect, or does it never do so? Starscream 18:42, 23 September 2009 (UTC)
- No Guard moves will not bypass protect post-D/P, unless it's Feint
Glitch?
I'm not sure if it was intended or not, but in D/P in Battle Tower double battles, No Guard Earthquake will hit semi-invulnerable partners, but not levitating partners. I noticed it and would like someone to experiment with that for confirmation WeavilePwns 02:04, 16 April 2010 (UTC)
Evasion Moves
Will a Pokemon with No Guard always hit a Pokemon who has used Double Team or Sand-Attack? - unsigned comment from Jdthebud (talk • contribs)
- Always hit means always hit this ability doesn't change accuracy it simply makes the moves always hit —Mada-sama (Talk to me!)— 09:55, 19 January 2011 (UTC)
Trivia?
How about some trivia for this ability?
Here's my contribution: If No Guard is in effect, an odd paradoxical scenario emerges in which a Pokémon can use Dig to hit a Pokémon that is currently Flying. (Video proof here) Daltonlaffs 23:28, 25 January 2011 (UTC)
