Super Smash Bros. Brawl is the third installment of the Super Smash Brothers series, set to be released on the Wii in 2007. As with previous installments, characters from various Nintendo video games will do battle with each other. It has been hinted that the game will utilize the Nintendo GameCube control scheme, as opposed to the Wii’s signature motion sensory control. Several characters from outside of Nintendo's realm of control (the only confirmed one of which is Solid Snake) have also been slated to appear in the game. One of the most popular characters to be requested is Sega's Sonic the Hedgehog.
Pikachu is the only playable Pokémon confirmed to appear in the game thus far, though more are expected to be revealed nearer the release, especialy Jigglypuff. The poke ball continues as an Item, and many Generation III and Generation IV Pokémon are likely to debut in the series as well.
A Stadium stage has also been shown in the second of two trailers published by Nintendo as of May, 2007.
Goldeen, Chikorita, and Groudon are confirmed to appear from Poké Balls. Template:Gamestub
