User:Grass lover since day one
Hi everyone. My name's Liam O'Loghlen. Since I got my first Gameboy colour [didn't get it until mid 2004]and picked up Pokémon Silver Version,I have loved Pokemon. Later that year for my 8th birthday I got Pokemon LeafGreen and a Gameboy Advance, which really began my interest in pokemon. Favourite Pokemon Favourite starting pokemon ever. The Ground type helped me against my rival's Infernape and other Fire Pokemon because it could learn Earthquake. Brings me back to when I first played LeafGreen. All the battles I did with this tough Pokemon. I love it's origin Forme. So helpful on Platinum and Diamond for me. Brave Bird helped me beat Cynthia on Platinum. Also a very helpful Gen IV Pokemon. Least Favourie Pokemon It IS NOT the best Pokēmon, 7yr olds and pokènoobs. It's a useless mouse who annoys you to no end on Yellow.I DON'T GIVE A F*** IF YOU DON'T WAN'T TO EVOLVE! I WANT YOU TO EVOLVE!!!!!!!!!! Annoying pieces of you know what. They just keep coming back. USED MY FIRST MASTERBALL ON THIS PIECE OF **** BY ACCIDENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Least Favourite type Game ReviewsZelda: Ocarina of Time Wii VC:10/10, Greatest Game of all time! It has great Music, stunning visuals(They're pretty average for today's standards, but mindblowng by the standards of 1998, which was when it was released) a story which may be average, but it's so well told it's perfect, fun, challenging Gameplay, Seamless Dungeon Design and lots to do. Buy it now for 1000 Points off Wii Virtual Console if you haven't played it, then go and play it and you can officially call yourself a gamer! Even if you have played it, play it again!!!!!!! CoD MW 2 and GTA IV just can't hit the mark so many times, be so immersive and altogether, they really can't compare to this classic. Smackdown Vs Raw 2010 Wii: 7.8/10, This game really pisses me off!! Yukes said they were going to give a hardcore experience to the Wii SvR series, but all they did was port it from the PS2 and remove features from the previous Wii versions which were awesome. No interactive entrances or victory scenes, no CAW pictures, no online play, dumbed down visuals, worse sound, no motion controls, no phone call coming from the Wii remote!!!! Apparently, stripped down ports are SO F***ING HARDCORE THESE DAYS!!!!!!!! I WASTED AN EXTRA $100 TO GET BOTH THE PS2 AND WII VERSION WHEN I COULD HAVE BEEN LET OFF WITH THE $50 PS2 VERSION!!!!!!!!!!! But on the bright side, it has all the match types that the Wii version missed out on in the previous games and the new features are fun. They finally were able to get more control types on the Wii so I don't have to dust off the PS2 version for multiplayer, storyline designer was great fun and the new RTWM storylines are even better with a Shawn Michaels, Brand Warfare (John Cena and Triple H), Edge, Randy Orton, and the new Create a Wrestler and Diva storyline starring Mickie James. The diva one was definitely the weakest. The Wii version, being stripped down misses out on Superstar Threads, the new Create A Wrestler options and has outdated character models for about half of the roster. The storyline designer doesn't let you go on for too long with the same story and there's only 2 save files, which isn't a problem on the 360/PS3 version because you can have much longer storylines and heaps of saves, but on those version for no reason at all, only 10 Create A Wrestler appearances are allowed in each storyline. Thank God it's not on the Wii version. Overall, if you take the rough with the smooth, this is pretty good. Smackdown Vs Raw 2011 Wii: 8.5/10, SvR is back for its 12th installment! The Wii version has been improved over last year's cut down port. It has every character updated, almost all the new features and slightly more detailed characters. There's the new Backstage RTWM, which is great fun despite not being as good as I expected. You can roam the locker room in the storylines and talk to and pick fights with other WWE stars, complete challenges and side-quests, build skills and build alliances. Next, my favourite new mode, WWE Universe. It's like a career mode. Rivalries and alliances are made depending on matches that occcur in the story, cutscenes can happen before, during or after a match, (e.g Superstar assaults an opponent pryor to the match, someone inteferes with the match and knock you or your opponent out, Money in the Bank cash-in) and many exciting, unpredictable events. In Unicerse, you can unlock cool stuff. Storyline Designer has more cutscnes and freedom for your storyline, which is nice. There's a really awesome match creator, new match types and a hugely improved Hell in a Cell, with a bigger cell, foreign objects, new physics (You throw someone off the cell near the announcer's table, they'll fall through it and hitting someone near the cell will smash them into it) and breakable cell walls. There's new match mechanics, so you can choose whether a move ends in a pinfall and moves can be reversed more accurately. There are some problems, though. This version still doesn't get everything. It's still lack any new CAW stuff, the new TLC match mechanics, new flex technology to make the superstars look and move realistically, and the new physics(Hitting someone near a foreign object will hit them into it). I tried the new TLC on the 360 version, and it was awesome. It's a shame the Wii doesn't get it. Also, The Road to Wrestlemania storylines are still lacking as usual. SvR 2011 was overall a great experience. Pokémon Silver Version: 10/10, The 2nd best game ever! The first game I ever played. It has two regions which makes this almost twice as long as a normal Pokémon game, amazing new Pokémon and music, more moves and types, more Eeeveloutions and who could forget Eggs and the Pokégear. Great additions. It improves on absolutely everything in the original and does it so flawlessly!! I love this game so much! Pokémon SoulSilver: 9.8/10, A huge nostalgia wave for me. They redid the visuals, they made the soundtrack even better, they added the fun Pokéathlon along with the features from the other Generation IV games, they made the trainers a touch more tough, the new Safari Zone features, the Pokéwalker which made it so easy for me to catch a Dratini, the new Voltorb flip which takes over the Game Corner (It's like minesweeper, only easier and more colourful), the ability to have unlimited phone space with being able to skip phone calls such as Joey talking about how awesome his Ratatta is and the little added story elements such as Lyra's existence and lengthening the Suicune side-story. They could have had a little more, though. It's a tiny bit samey compared to Silver, but there are buckets of joy regardless. If you haven't played Silver, then this is where to start. If you have, then play it again. You'll spend hours playing this on your little Double Screen wonder. Super Mario Galaxy 2: 10/10, Along with Pokémon Silver, this is the only game I can compare to Ocarina of Time. I played the first Galaxy and I really liked it. I preordered this a month in advance. The Preorder got stuffed up by the store, I didn't get the game the day it was released and I'll never preorder from that store again. I got it two days later for a lower price at JB HI-FI than I was going to pay at the other store I won't name. I've had so many great moments that I'll never forget with Mario Galaxy 2. It's just impossibly fun. Yoshi is a great addition with some new abilities added since Sunshine. Some great new powerups are there too. The new style of Hub Map works really well. There's 242 stars I'll be spending weeks trying to get every last one. The galaxies are well designed with some original designs and some homage to previous games(Eg. The Throwback Galaxy looks exactly the same as the second world you can go to in Super Mario 64 with very small exceptions which I won't spoil for you) and the game can be so fiendishly challenging in the later parts of the game that you'll bring 20 lives to a level and leave with 5-10. The game has a perfect difficulty curve which starts so forgiving and easy and works its way up to near impossible slowly and flawlessly. This game is perfect. A true masterpiece. Play it now or you don't get a delicious sandwich(Or a greatest game of all time candidate). TeamsGEN 1 Blue
