Battle item

A battle item is, as its name implies, an item given to a Pokémon during battle to enhance its stats. Similarly to vitamins, battle items provide bonuses to the target Pokémon. Battle items, however, wear off after a battle or when the Pokémon is switched out.

Types of battle items

File:GuardSpecSpriteDP.png Guard Spec.

Guard Spec. prevents stat reduction for a Pokémon temporarily. Guard Spec. can be found at the Celedon, Goldenrod, Lilycove, and Veilstone Department Stores for File:Pokébuck sign.gif700 and in select spots in the field. They can be sold for File:Pokébuck sign.gif350 each.
