Trivia
Origin
Torkoal is essentially a tortoise with a built-in furnace.
Name origin
Torkoal's name is a combination of tortoise and a coal. Its Japanese name appears to also be a combination of these two words. The French name combines charbon (coal) with tortue (tortoise).
