Talk:Watchog (Pokémon)
You know
Putting the evobox's parameters commented out. Good thinking. TTEchidna 10:13, 5 August 2010 (UTC)
Origin
In the Sugimori art on Serebii, Miruhoggu's stripe form what looks almost like the orange safety vests that seem to "glow" in darkness, possibly hinting at its ability illuminate. - unsigned comment from Snozzardi (talk • contribs)
- I agree on that. Its body kinda resembles a roadcone, and the safety vest goes well with it being the Precaution Pokémon.--Kaoz 19:53, 9 August 2010 (UTC)
Physiology
I'm pretty sure that "white tuft" is a hand. --Element03 00:21, 10 August 2010 (UTC)
- Yeah, the physiology section was written back when all we had was gameplay images, so it was kind of impossible to tell what it was.--PhantomJunkie 01:04, 10 August 2010 (UTC)
Possible origin?
I don't know if this is trivia worthy, but Miruhoggu's design, along with its pose (particularly the folded arms) seems to give it the overall appearance of a gym instructor, with the yellow markings resembling a vest. T a r o m o n 14:37, 10 August 2010 (UTC)
- I doubt it's a gym teacher. Seems more with security. Like Minezumi is the lookout Pokémon and how this one is the Precaution Pokémon. Turtwig's A-B-Cs (talk | contribs) 14:44, 10 August 2010 (UTC)
- I believe it's a foreman, much like one in constructions. The vest, as noted in a previous paragraph, is more akin to a safety vest than to a gym suit.--Kaoz 15:59, 10 August 2010 (UTC)
Official romanization
Miruhog.--immewnitythemew 00:18, 3 October 2010 (UTC)
- Shouldn't the title be at Miruhog (Pokémon), rather than just Miruhog, as the article says it should be moved to right now? It's Turtwig A! My talk or wiki edits 21:27, 4 October 2010 (UTC)
- It's okay. I understood what Matt meant. I guess I'll do Mogothingy too. —darklordtrom 21:35, 4 October 2010 (UTC)
On watch
Watchog's eyes does not close when afflicted with Sleep, does this happen to other Pokemon as well? - unsigned comment from Togelover (talk • contribs)
EVs
When I was EV training Attack on Route 1 (in the dark grass past the water), I noticed that Watchdog seems to only give 1 Attack EV. Has anyone else noticed this? --Jdthebud 09:27, 15 April 2011 (UTC)
- It used to say 1 Attack EV on this page. In addition, every other fansite lists it as 1 Attack EV. If you are finding that it gives only 1 Attack EV, it is most likely correct. --SnorlaxMonster 12:13, 15 April 2011 (UTC)
