Sand Force (Japanese: すなのちから Sand Force) is an Ability introduced in Generation V. Fourteen Pokémon can have this Ability.

Effect

In battle

Sand Force raises the power of Rock, Ground, and Template:Type2 moves by 30% while a Sandstorm is in effect. It also gives the user immunity to damage from Sandstorm.

Trivia

• Shellos is the only Pokémon with this Ability that can appreciate its full effect: the other thirteen Pokémon are naturally immune to damage from Sandstorm because of their type(s). However, if Soak were to be used on one of these Pokémon, they would still not take damage from Sandstorm thanks to this Ability.
