S01
Template:EpisodePrevNext Pokémon: Indigo League is the name of the first season of the Pokémon anime. The 81-episode season showcases the adventures of Ash, Misty and Brock in the Kanto region, from Pallet Town to the Indigo Plateau.
Originally airing in syndication, the series was picked up by Kids' WB! about halfway through the season. The season began with Pokémon--I Choose You!, which originally aired on September 8, 1998, and ended with Pallet Party Panic, which originally aired on December 4, 1999.
It should be noted that the concept of seasons does not exist in Japan. An invention of the dub, a season is the only way to differentiate one story arc, such as Indigo League, from any other in the Pocket Monsters series.
