Disambigs
I wouldn't. You're just going to make too many redlinks, which aren't acceptable. Luna Tiger * the Arc Toraph 21:42, 1 December 2010 (UTC)

Hey there.
Keep up the good work updating those templates. I know a congratulatory word is rare around here, so I just wanted to say that grunt work like that is really appreciated. So yeah. Thanks. --P o L i 17:29, 28 January 2011 (UTC)
BW005.
I got it from tv.msn.com, http://tv.msn.com/tv/series.aspx?series=62d49308-0244-4703-a474-64fe2b1a7a8b.
Sorry for the confusion.

¡felicidades
Congratulations! For your outstanding service to the Bulbagarden Archives you have been awarded the Golden Porygon Award for January, 2011 by the Archives Advisory Council!
Please place this template onto your userpage by putting {{User Award|GoldPorygon|January, 2011}} among your userboxes. |
I asked Google Translator, so I hope that sounds okay. I'd go on and thank you for the hours and hours of manual uploading you are putting into the Archives at the moment, but reading it would take up your valuable time. So I'll just leave this sparkly Porygon on your doorstep and you can play with it when you're finished. —darklordtrom 09:33, 14 February 2011 (UTC)
- I must say it was totally unexpected, but I appreciate the award. Thanks, trom, and the rest of the Archives Advisory Council! Also, it's ¡felicidades! :P Masatoshitalk 18:20, 14 February 2011 (UTC)
Animating
Photoshop? I don't think if I can acquiry it... It's not free (at least I don't know if it's free or not)... Marked +-+-+ 20:49, 22 February 2011 (UTC) PS.WTF, AnimGet makes VBA run on 7%. That's VERY low speed D: It takes me few seconds just to select Move button >.< Marked +-+-+ 21:01, 22 February 2011 (UTC) Ow... About 94 screenshots when Blaze Kick recorded. O-O Marked +-+-+ 21:10, 22 February 2011 (UTC) PS.It looks that in Gen III, HP bar doesn't dissappears like in Gen IV. All shots contained HP bar, I deleted shots with moves menu and after Oddish "dissappeared" (moment where it starts to reduce it's HP =P).
- I certainly dunno where... as far as I know, AnimGet hasn't taken a toll on speed for me, the problem might be that you have Frame Skip set to 0, which is what I'd like you to do, I can't even play Platinum, but I do it for the sake of Bulbapedia. :P
- 94 screenshots are just as fine, don't expect any move to take less than 70 frames, I even had 300 on one.
- Well, if you use draining moves, such as Absorb or Giga Drain, you'd need to have your Pokémon hurt a bit so we can see the magic of those moves, until they replenish their HP. So, if III doesn't hide the HP bar, the first frame before the move begins is the first frame to stay, the frames before should be deleted. And the first frame after the move ends (with effects as well) should be the last, delete all frames after it. Masatoshitalk 21:23, 22 February 2011 (UTC)
- [censor], megaupload says something that my IP address is downloading about 641MB file...EPIC FAIL for IP. >.< Really Adobe is required? Or... maybe trial version is capable of doing things? (rather no =P) Marked +-+-+ 15:07, 23 February 2011 (UTC) PS."don't expect any move to take less than 70 frames," - Orly? On Ember, I got 71 WITH counting moves menu screenshots and after effects ended ("blinking", effectiveness sounds, etc.). Without them, I got... 66 screenshots.... Marked +-+-+ 15:15, 23 February 2011 (UTC) Dammit, screenshots are 1152x788... Marked +-+-+ 20:21, 23 February 2011 (UTC) I hate Photoshop. It wants to save that all screenshots into .gif, not .png >.< Marked +-+-+ 20:33, 23 February 2011 (UTC) WHAT? It doesn't save in .gif. It saves in a stupid format, .psd. EVEN MORE EPIC FAIL... Nevermind, restarted and it's .png now. Marked +-+-+ 20:37, 23 February 2011 (UTC) I accidentally did batch script so that Ember shots are saved under Absorbxxx.png (where xxx is that 3 digit something) lol. I will just upload it as a new version, so name of file here won't change =P Okey done... Just last frame... awww still has animation (there is flame)... Need to do stuff again, for that frame =D Marked +-+-+ 20:48, 23 February 2011 (UTC) Finally... about 1 hour, finally created animation. Of Blaze Kick (Ember's one is "corrupted" it looks that few frames are missing). Saving, now uploading. Deleted one frame after animation ended, the one left has 1000ms (it's last) delay, and the frame on top (0th, lol) has 500ms. Nothing seems missing. Now just upload. And then go to bed =P Marked +-+-+ 21:01, 23 February 2011 (UTC) PS.Uh what? 2,14 MB file size... damn. And resolution, well Photoshop "distorted" it, it's 240x164, while static would be 240x160... Small difference, but stil difference =P
Can't upload. I press upload, but nothing happens, no session loss data stuff, no log-out, no warning. NOTHING. Just it looks like browser is loading page, but page doesn't changes. And how it's about 2,12MB, while one of yours has about 1/3 of that? Marked +-+-+ 21:13, 23 February 2011 (UTC) PS.Okey, I have to go =P
Uploaded Metal Claw animated... I still see old picture below "file, file history" and other stuff, just in other resolution. It didn't synchronized for me =P Also, it's almost 2MB file >.< Wtf, how it's THAT big? Marked +-+-+ 08:47, 24 February 2011 (UTC)
- Well, some of the screenshots might be heavier than some others due to reasons a non-ignorant (not me) would understand, but so far, so good, happens to me as well with this file. Now, you need to edit those summaries, since that file is now animated, you should state so with
{{anipng}}
, which will add the file to the following categories: Animated images, Special images and Animated png files. And can you please edit the Generation III thing? It should link to Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire, Emerald and FireRed and LeafGreen to make it look less ambiguous. That would be it for now. Now, regarding talk pages; would you mind indenting your replies? Instead of just writing after your message, hit Enter and go to a new paragraph, since I used one :, you should use two, I'll use three in my reply, you'll use four, until we need to reset the indentation. This way is a bit less confusing for other people, thanks. :P Masatoshitalk 14:26, 24 February 2011 (UTC)- Okey, file seems right but... In article, it doesn't animate. It's just that first frame that's is skipped in animation. I _have_ Firefox. Marked +-+-+ 13:32, 25 February 2011 (UTC)
- Don't worry, it's normal. When they're thumbnailed, the animation won't play. Masatoshitalk 14:03, 25 February 2011 (UTC)
- Then how to the hell a Metal Claw of generation II IS animated in thumbnail? Marked +-+-+ 15:19, 25 February 2011 (UTC) PS.Fly in Generation III also animates in thumbnail.
- Because Metal Claw II isn't thumbnailed, it's at full size. And Fly in Generation III is a .gif, that explains the (rather broken) animation. Masatoshitalk 15:40, 25 February 2011 (UTC)
- Okey, Fly I uploaded. Little slower (55ms instead of 33ms), because it looked like something was missing (part of animation in 2nd stage looked like it was too fast) but checked game, and it seems right... Marked +-+-+ 10:23, 26 February 2011 (UTC)
- Well, the file looks correct, but mind if I ask you to have a slightly longer pause in the middle? And one more thing, I'm trying to make the animations more... like you're actually playing the game, would you mind using it against a higher leveled Pokémon? The gap between your Pokémon and the Wild Pokémon is a bit too wide. Masatoshitalk 11:08, 26 February 2011 (UTC)
- Uh, but it's lvl 70 about, and highest levelled wild in Yellow is 60 (Ditto 1% encounter rate in Cave), and trainer is 65lvl Gary' starter. And Gary has also in range of 50s =P I can't upload Surf. 111 (including that skipped) frames (2,77MB). OUCH. Marked +-+-+ 11:16, 26 February 2011 (UTC) PS.I made Surf animation before I read your answer =P

- resetting indentation - Well, then try to get the highest leveled Pokémon you can, a twenty-level gap sounds good, but a seventy-level gap is kinda too much :P. Also, if you're making P.S., I'd suggest you to do it like if you were posting a new reply, followed by the signing. 2,77MB? You probably have the saving of the .pngs in the highest quality, I'm not really sure, that'd be the most coherent answer. Masatoshitalk 11:35, 26 February 2011 (UTC)
How do you work so fast?!?
Whenever I check the recent changes, someone's making 20 edits in 2 minutes! How do you find all that stuff to edit?!? (I can't seem to find much...) - unsigned comment from Pokabu82 (talk • contribs)
- Well... I was dwelling around, until I found something on
{{Movegen}}
that needed to be edited, as we can't use .gifs, we should be using .pngs, so I edited that on the template, then I used this, found in the toolbox, that gave me stuff to edit. Masatoshitalk 22:49, 13 April 2011 (UTC)
Posting in dead threads?
I am looking and can't find any rules for posting in dead threads including how long it is before a thread is considered dead, if the last post was a month ago and I have a question to add to it is it dead and should I just start a new thread under it? felinoel 07:36, 21 April 2011 (UTC)
- ...And why are you bringing this up to me? If this is about the forums, you should go here. But as far as I know, unless you have a good reason to reply to that thread, you should create a new one. Masatoshitalk 07:44, 21 April 2011 (UTC)
- Because you seem knowledgeable in this site's rules? No this isn't a Bulbagarden thread it is a Bulbapedia thread... I guess those aren't called threads then... I always get the terminology mixed up with threads, posts, categories, subcategories, and whatnot... whatever this right here is called is what I mean by thread. felinoel 07:54, 21 April 2011 (UTC)
- Talk page, then. Alright. You got me confused in there. Talk page policy will help you on that, specifically, this. It says the following: Please check the dates of a discussion before you reply to it. Unless there is good reason for revitalizing an old conversation, comments on sections older than six months old will be removed. This is because by this point the problems cited will have been cleared up. Masatoshitalk 07:57, 21 April 2011 (UTC)
- Well someone asked a question of which I have the same issue and the response to fix it doesn't seem to work for me, so the problem cited is cleared up for that person, just not for me... but it is only a month old so I can post there! Also, I didn't quite mean Talk Page, I meant a specific ummm category? in a talk page... so I guess I meant category? felinoel 08:02, 21 April 2011 (UTC)
- Every article, category, file and whatnot has a talk page, so I'm sure you're talking about that. Probably you're talking about a section (You know, the headings, like Posting in dead threads?). And sure, you can go ask, let's hope you can find a proper solution this time. Masatoshitalk 08:13, 21 April 2011 (UTC)

Template
HI Masatoshi, i was wondering if i could use your main template (your background border) for my user page, is this okay? (i will change it a little so it doesn't look carbon-copy and credit you for the original design) Azure/ChromeVoid42 17:25, 28 June 2011 (UTC)
Ok
If you think a beluga looks like a lugia, you have vision issues. There is no reference to this anyway in the manga or anime or TCG. Also there is NO reference to Lugia and the moon despite popular belief because Ho-oh IS referenced with the sun. If there is, list it. Thanks.
Just because it has plates it must be a stegosaurus? That is just stupid.
Fix grammar but dont add 101 reasons a name might exist. A wiki is meant to help, not confuse and create argument. --Since97andOn 23:23, 18 December 2011 (UTC)
- Yes, I have vision issues, but I abide to what might be the most logical relation to what Lugia resembles the most to, whether physiologically or in behavior. Not many of the Pokémon have their origins referenced anywhere in the anime, manga nor TCG, so I don't think it's a valid point, but if you can find a reference to it, then I'll agree with you. I do agree that Lugia wouldn't be really the moon nor a Beluga whale (on which I kind of agree with you); but I'll go with the introduction of the Silver screen, on where he's seen flying in the night with the moon behind, and me being a native Spanish speaker, on which the Lugia name would make sense with the Lu- part. It's not just because it has plates, it's also the shape he has, also shared by another dinosaur, the Plesiosaur. Lugia doesn't look like a Wyver at all, but that's my opinion anyways. Also, please, avoid the use of subjective words such as "Interestingly", since we try to be as neutral as possible. And I do agree that a wiki is meant to help, and not to confuse and create arguments, so I'm sorry if I made you angry, but I hope you understand my reasoning now. Masatoshitalk 23:51, 18 December 2011 (UTC)
Wow, so because english people "translate" his name way back before there was no moon in the screen, you think that makes sense for the Luna connection?(No it doesn't) You said you agree with me twice by the way about the beluga hah, Your an admin FFS have some sense of duty and remove that gibberish. If your going with best "reasoning" List one example and end it. Why allow many theories? If theories are allowed, I think people need to know how Cubones are baby kangaskan. (That last part is a joke, but hopefully you understand me. I could really care less about these things, but the point of a wiki in the end is meant to inform people. Not lead people to believe Lugia is a Beluga, stegosaurus, plesiosaur and wyvern super hybrid.)Also you dont have vision problems since you atleast see my point about the beluga.:D --Since97andOn 00:32, 19 December 2011 (UTC)
- Don't forget to indent please. Ok, we've talked about this and we decided to use what trom put in there, I hope this will be able to solve any further disputes. Masatoshitalk 06:40, 19 December 2011 (UTC)

Edit warring
I did not start the edit war. Truthseeker did. It's the first reversion that starts the war, not the innocent edit that the reverter disagrees with. I hate to use this example, being a Jew and all, but Hitler didn't declare war by invading Poland. England and France declared war AFTER the invasion. Please understand where I'm coming from--SandmanDP 22:32, 8 January 2012 (UTC)
- It takes two to edit war, there wouldn't have been a war if England and France didn't stand up for Poland, but that's not the point. I understand you were trying to make a correction, but if it's something that you think might be disagreed with (since the BW006-present thing was there for quite some time), a talk page could have been better. Starting something like: Regarding Joy, the talk page policy says it may be used to bring up errors, or what you think could be a mistake. Masatoshitalk 22:48, 8 January 2012 (UTC)
I did go to a talkpage, and you're giving me no credit for that. Truthseeker just reverted. He reverted me twice before responding to my post.--SandmanDP 22:57, 8 January 2012 (UTC)
- I meant the article's talk page, but the user talk page works too. The problem is that you're being passive-aggresive, you are losing it due to a revert. I gave you credit afterwards, but all credit has gone into the sink with the attitude you're showing towards Truthseeker. Keep calm, state calmly why you think this is this, and let the other guy express his opinions, try and reach a consensus, calmly. This is a wiki, not The Fight Club. Also, please indent your comments from now, thank you. Masatoshitalk 23:07, 8 January 2012 (UTC)
What attitude could I possibly be showing? I havent been aggressive AT ALL! You're accusing me of things I never did and threatening to block me for it as an intimidation tactic. Please stop--SandmanDP 23:12, 8 January 2012 (UTC)
- Don't get mad at me, but this message you just gave me sounds like that. I'll still ask you for proof regarding Truthseeker's lack of CoC, so I can properly judge this situation if you feel it's being biased enough. And as I said, I'm sorry to make you feel threatened, but my duty is to resolve disputes, even if they have to go down the block. Masatoshitalk 23:21, 8 January 2012 (UTC)
So I have no right to react to being explicitly threatened because I try to edit a simple encyclopedia page? How is that right?--SandmanDP 23:26, 8 January 2012 (UTC)
- It's more of a warning I'm giving to you, you are welcome to edit the wiki (as I saw you do a few minutes ago with Diamond, and I loved that), but not welcome to revert repeatedly without stating the facts on why you think his edit is wrong in a talk page. According to a fellow Junior Admin, Turtwig A's edit summary in the page: No offense, but they mean the same thing, and BW006-Present is much more clearer imo. And then said: Should it be noted that no other Officer Jenny has appeared since that time? Masatoshitalk 23:44, 8 January 2012 (UTC)
Stop using the same exact thing that's been refuted three tims now. It's a moot point. You have not used anything to counter my reasoning--SandmanDP 00:02, 9 January 2012 (UTC)
- I didn't want to get into this discussion, but now it seems inevitable considering I've been mentioned in here already. The bigger question is here is, why does it matter yet? Technically, from all we know, she did take over all the Jennys, since as I said earlier, those are all the Jennys that have been seen since that point. Since they are all of them since that point, it technically is a takeover from all Jenny voice actresses, and thus should be considered so until proven otherwise since the BW006-Present part indicates all Jenny that have appeared during that time, which are all Unova ones. Turtwig A (talk | contribs) 00:14, 9 January 2012 (UTC)
- I'd like to point out that it still implies that she now voices Jennys of the other regions, which is speculation. My POV stems from the two different Jennys of A Secret Sphere of Influence. Two different regions, two different Jennys, two different voices. If anything, I think a good compromise would be (Unova-native, BW006-present). Anyone disagree?--SandmanDP 00:36, 9 January 2012 (UTC)
- Yes. Truthseeker4449 00:43, 9 January 2012 (UTC)
- Pretty rude to disagree without a reason. How is that way bad? Because someone ELSE who was new decided to incorporate their ideas?--SandmanDP 00:51, 9 January 2012 (UTC)
- I think he and everyone else pretty much gave their reasons. You're just not accepting it. Last time a Jenny outside Unova appeared was in the Diamond and Pearl series. No other kind of Jenny appeared since so what it is saying is not incorrect. When one does reappear with an actress other than Emily Jenness we can change it promptly. We can tell for sure at this point. As of BW006, all of the Jennys so far are voiced by Emily Jenness. And like I said, if or when it changes we will promptly specify. --ケンジのガール 01:37, 9 January 2012 (UTC)

The Preview Button
I do that but when I finish the correct edit, I find something else wrong with the article. I try my best not to edit several times. I've clicked that preview button way more times than how many times I have edited Sinnoh Route 213 on record. --Wildgoosespeeder 18:59, 25 January 2012 (UTC)
Well...
I see I placed a welcome message in the wrong namespace. Well, sorry 'bout that—it seems I was hyped to get the edit increment from welcoming someone that I erred in placing it correctly. I'll be paying closer attention to that, okay? Thanks. —ДlεχThεRσϛε 23:48, 31 January 2012 (UTC)
- You know talk page edits don't count, right? I'm glad that you're trying to give a warm welcome to the new Bulbapedians, but I wouldn't count on making that my only means of contributing to the wiki. :P Masatoshitalk 23:51, 31 January 2012 (UTC)
- I plan on editing whatever mainspace stuff floats around, but I find it somewhat rewarding to create an enormous table out of 17 characters, so don't expect me to leave new accounts' talk pages empty. Also, I'll bear in mind what you said about templates, as I don't think I read that in the MoS. Thanks again! —ДlεχThεRσϛε 00:11, 1 February 2012 (UTC)
