Ok.

Here's how to use this thing.

First infraction- {{subst:Userspace warning|0}}

Second infraction- {{subst:Userspace warning|1}}

Third infraction- {{subst:Userspace warning|2}}

Fourth infraction- {{subst:Userspace warning|3}}

And here is how the last three infraction warnings look-

Hold on!

If you did not read your last warning, then please read it now. You have gone over the daily limit for editing the User: namespace. Please do not edit your page any more for today, as it is hard on the server. Thank you, --RexRacer -talk 02:44, 9 January 2009 (UTC)

Stop.

Do not edit the User: namespace any more. In the past, we were not allowed to edit our pages at all because of users over-editing their pages. If you edit your page any more today then the privilege for you to edit it will be removed. --RexRacer -talk 02:44, 9 January 2009 (UTC)

Look,

Your failure to listen to these warnings has resulted in your privileges being taken away. Your privileges may be returned in time. Please, next time listen to us. --RexRacer -talk 02:44, 9 January 2009 (UTC)

Shouldn't we...

Edit any statements saying that the limit is four, now that there is no numerically specific limit? The Dark Fiddler - Nos hablamos? 19:55, 18 January 2009 (UTC)

I guess. Maybe say just "don't edit too much", supposing they edited, say, 35 times? Fi-ray ►strike! 19:58, 18 January 2009 (UTC)
That wont work. Without fear of punishment, they wont stopDCM((Mock MeEdits)) 20:03, 18 January 2009 (UTC)
Why not? I think simply being polite and saying "cool it, there's no hard cap but don't push your luck" is completely appropriate. You don't have to threaten someone to get them to behave. -- evkl (need to talk?) 16:41, 19 January 2009 (UTC)
It didnt work before, nor did it work this time.DCM((Mock MeEdits)) 20:34, 19 January 2009 (UTC)
Try 25. Cipher (Talk) 20:37, 19 January 2009 (UTC)
25! And thats with the policy. I think a firm hand is needed to control the user spaceDCM((Mock MeEdits)) 20:40, 19 January 2009 (UTC)
So is this some policy change??? Or deciding when to use the template? -- Landfish7 20:43, 19 January 2009 (UTC)
Why not enforce a userspace limit on new users? They get one or two edits a day for two weeks, then they can have the same privilages that we all get. And, face it, new users are the only abusers.--RexRacer -talk 20:50, 19 January 2009 (UTC)
Isn't calling yourself Miley Cyrus against our impersonation-of-real-people policy? And isn't that why the account got zapped? But I stand by my idea that generally people can follow the rules. Setting any kind of numeric limit is kind of silly, as I see it...if you REALLY don't want to see the changes, just click 'hide recent changes' on the RC menu. -- evkl (need to talk?) 21:15, 19 January 2009 (UTC)

Edit request

There's an extremely inconvenient period between the words "Userspace" and "edits". Could an admin please remove it?--freezingCOLD (page, talk) 22:24, 20 January 2009 (UTC)

Re-write

So it's kinda come to my attention that the warnings should probably be re-written to not mention the server stress part. The thing is, most of the time we put the warning on people's pages because they don't edit the mainspace at all, and not because they edited their page a zillion times in a row without using the preview button. The backstory with the server stress could be kept on the policy page still, but on the warning.. it catches people's attention the most, and that's what the focus on when they usually argue back against warnings. But usually the point is "you've made no mainspace contribs and like 13 userspace ones, come on you guys"... so, re-write anyone? ▫▪Ťïňắ 19:00, 7 March 2010 (UTC)

I changed some stuff, especially on the initial warning. What thinks you? —darklordtrom 22:47, 12 March 2010 (UTC)
Better, it should take the attention off of the server part now. Thanks! ▫▪Ťïňắ 03:54, 13 March 2010 (UTC)

Edit request

Can someone change "one edit" to "three edits"?--Den Zen 15:04, 22 October 2011 (UTC)

Done. ♫♪エイディニズ♪♫ 15:06, 22 October 2011 (UTC)

Wording

"to prevent promote people" The wording sounds a little screwed up. Are we encougring editing of the mainspace or preventing people from over editing their userspace? Truthseeker4449 23:19, 8 February 2012 (UTC)
